Tetris will always be king. Puyo Puyo is incredible. Underrated gem: Cleopatra Fortune. Also wanna give a shout out to puzzle bobble though it's not really quite the same thing.

i mean, as far as i could tell from the few times I played, it's just turning shapes into rectangles? there's a little bit of optimization you can do with placing your squares, of course, but it didnt seem that puzzling.
