Finders/Keepers T H R E A D.

So yesterday while walking home i found this 21" KV-21T1D CRT next to a pile of bulk trash. And i am thinking to myself, this is mine, don't care if it doesn't turn on anymore it will be good for parts.

So i carried the little japanese fucker home, hooked an MD up, switched it on and rejoiced.
Everything is working fine. So now i have 3 Sony CRT's. One Hi Black, one Super Trinitron (this little fucker) and one FD Trinitron.
One never can have enough Sony CRT's. Also finders/keepers thread. What did /vr/ find lately?

I was finding so much stuff over the winter but have hit a dry spell these past few months. Best recent find was this awesome Trinitron from '87.

All my recent finds have been at Goodwill or other local thrift stores, nothing free lately. That said, I got a working model 1 Sega Saturn for $13 at goodwill (traded it for a Super Famicom on a forum, since I don't want to collect for the Saturn), got pic related at the same Goodwill, found a SPCH-1001 Playstation for $5 at a different thrift store, and I got a killer deal on a PC-Engine, and a broken CD-ROM Briefcase setup on the aforementioned forum as well. Pretty exciting week in retro games for me, which is super unusual.

does the cd at least boot up when you try and use it? if so it could be the middle plastic gear that usually gets brittle and may have the teeth stripped.

otherissues are common things like the laser going out ect but they make (expensive) repos of that middle gear for like $10 so if it's that, boom fully working unit.

It just got put in the mail, apparently the guy changed the gear and it will occasionally read audio CDs, but never wants to boot Super CD-ROMs unfortunately. At least it should be mechanically sound, I'm assuming the laser needs adjustment or replacement. I was going to try and find someone to repair it for me when it comes in. I got the PCE, CD-ROM2, and Interface Unit for $65 (and another $66 for shipping) so I was OK with it being broken, considering how ludicrous the prices are on eBay for all those pieces.
