Lulz. What's wrong, your toaster can't handle Bsne?
>>4037023
Snes9x is faster than bsnes. Also, bsnes has many glitch issues.
>>4037008
Nesticle
ZSNES
KGen98
Visualboyadvance
party like it's 2001.
>>4037028
>2001 was 16 years ago
>>4037027
bsnes is the most accurate snes emulator to exist, so you need more than a potato to run it.
>>4037068
Yeah, but which is the best version?
>>4037072
v0.98 is really good, has options for performance and is only about a year old.
>>4037072
bsnes-mercury, despite what byuu claims, is perfectly fine and has almost the same accuracy as the current version of higan thanks to backports. It also has SuperFX overclock and the option of using HLE for the coprocessor chips that doesn't require extra firmware (byuu absolutely hates that Alcaro restored code he removed from bsnes...).
>>4037275
Which one? Accuracy, performance or whatever?
I just use BizHawk for most everything now. Less fuss than RetroArch.
>>4037028
>Nesticle
>2001
Nigga we was even beyond RockNES or LoopyNES at that point it was all about FCEUltra and Nester forks.

Alright lets get this right once and for all

Than refute it, faggot.
>>4037023
There is zero point in using bsnes over snes9x. The extra cpu use you free up with snes9x can be put into performance options like hard gpu sync and frame delay.

This is probably dumb, but when talking about these cores, are they similar across different systems? For example, is genesis plus gx as good on new3ds as it is on wii? Is nestopia as good on wii as it is on pc? Etc
>>4037756
>There is zero point in using bsnes over snes9x.
Wow, you clearly have no idea what you're talking about.
>>4037521
I used balanced profile usually.
>>4037927
>mupen
ParaLLEl superior.
>open roms on Higan
>everything works fine
>opens same roms on Bsnes core
>blackscreen everywhere
WHY?
>>4039129
because reasons. higan should be avoided.
Byuu has exposed pieces of the sausage which should be and otherwise are invisible and automatically available to the emulator.
It's idiotic in its demand for an exclusive environment. I can understand how it may be the best way of handling snes roms given the need for accuracy, but even if you think game-folders are a good idea or not, the mess that higan needs to make should only be something devs and tweakers see when a user wants to run a rom.
