Sup /vr/, I'm interested in buying this but have some questions for those that have one. Is it reliable, does it play games without any slow down? Is it compatible with all games, is there a list? Where would I get the firmware and how would i install it? Thanks in advance for any info.

>Is it reliable,
yes
>does it play games without any slow down?
yes
>Is it compatible with all games
no, some Rareware games, Animal Forest and N64 DD games don't work.
>is there a list?
Not that I know of
> Where would I get the firmware and how would i install it?
Not sure where you can find it, but you only have to put it inside a folder and put it on the SD card

You'll need to create a folder called "ED64P" (no quotes) in the root directory and place this file inside it. Once you do this it should start up properly. You can then place the ROMs anywhere on the SD card.

>Thanks for that, have you encountered any other problems with it?
I don't have one, but I do want to have it.

>some Rareware games
Damn, what's the point then?
>>4025585
It's only the most overrated ones

I believe there are patches to get around the anti-piracy that it triggers, but don't quote me on that.

Everything works with the right patches. Check everdrive 64 v1 compatibility for a list
Think it's worth shelling out like $30 more for an actual Everdrive? I've read that it's a cheap knockoff that sucks, but I've also read it's exactly the same.

Not to sound like a shill but its generally always better to spend more money for genuine electronics, rather than trust Chinese bootlegs.

The clone Everdrives work just as well as the Krikzz versions (just with a lower firmware)

Does the original ED v1 need a chip soldered in or a piggy back cartridge so it can boot?
>>4027075
Can be either
>>4025585
huh? i've finished DKR, DK64, PF and Conkers on my ED64 without a problem.
It's a great flashcart, you can dump the whole romset into a micro sd card and have fun.
The only game i know that has issues is WWF No Mercy (doesn't boot unless you have a .sav file prior)

I have enhanced one, it's the square topped one in OP image.

How long have you had it and in what format do the roms have to be, .n64 or .z64?
