The first rpg I ever played, also still one of my favourites.
Rented it. Never beat it. Still meaning to get around to it one of these days.
This game was ugly as fuck even back in the day.

>Ugly
The Battle graphics are way above most of ps1 rpgs at the time. Heck, you can see your equipment changing throughout the course of the game.
great game, op. i need to find my psx mags so i can scan the ads for it.
It was okay. Mediocre, but nothing that was amazingly bad which is more than you can say for a lot of RPGs.
Interesting looking game. I thought it looked ugly on the Playstation years ago, but I do like how it looks on the emulator.

A shame there's no good art for it. Solid game.
I liked the battle system, but the thing is grindy as fuck.
>>4022913
>village has 5 houses
>surrounded by murderous mist that kills travelers
Gets me wet just thinking about all that incest
>>4022914
Is this really that ugly for a Playstation game? Somethign about it makes me think of obscure late 80's animes.

have nostalgia for it but tried to play it recently and it definitely hasn't held up. The story is so lame. pic related is much better

Stop using that horrid 2xsal texture filter
>>4023075
I like it. The textures look better this way.

REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
>>4023147
I like it too.
>town and villagers get turned into a hellish writhing and pulsating flesh carpet nightmare
>>4023796
>pulsating flesh carpet
>implying you wouldn't fuck it
There's also a common glitch in Conkram for the particular rom used for emulators which makes it unplayable at that point, guess I might habe to try and purchase an original copy.
>>4023983
I beat it on an old version of epsx-fucking-e with no problems
>>4024010
I'll try bringing my save over from phone to pc and giving it a go
>>4023983
>>4024010
>>4024030
Yeah, the Conkram back in time glitch is 100% consistent if you're playing on a PS3.
I wasn't about to throw away fucking like 30 hours of progress, so I bought a Memory Card USB adapter. Transferred my file, put it on my psone with my little faggy LCD screen, beat it, then back on my ps3.
I would advise heavily against playing Legaia. It's grindy, it's about 40 hours long, and boss encounters feel totally random and often unfair.
>>4024039
Whilst the boss encounters are quite challenging, I absolutely loved the battle system, was pretty exciting chaining random combinations and discovering new art moves.

In the beginning.
You learn pretty fast what the optimum combos are. Which means for Vaan you're usually spamming what, burning rage twice, noah is using tempest kick then eventually noa's ark, and gala is usually delegated to healing duty.
It gets really old.
