TF2 is the rebalance TFC needed but the old map roster trumps everything. I really miss shit like old Well, Avanti, Crossover, Rock2, Badlands, Casbah, Epicenter. Fuck even Hunted.

I was actually playing TFC Thursady night with about 20 other people. I hadn't played in years, and I wasn't particularly amazing or anything anyway.

People were flying around the map with conc jumps, flags were being captured 15 seconds after they were picked up, and after 30 minutes, I had a single kill which was from a suicide grenade. At least with TF2 the skill cap was much lower so I don't feel like I'm playing with demigods when I sign on there.

The original TFC maps were great though, shame they're not a part of TF2.

At least the Doom threads have a large sector that is just getting Doom running on modern machines.

Almost all the HL mods I see talked about on /vr/ are shit that could never run or never happen in the late 90s because of file size or resolution among other things. Like the ones ITT that are a gig in size and larger.
