Deals and steals.

Post overpriced trash near you.
>>
>>4021090
Deal and steal are both used in reference to items priced way below their market value.
>>
>>4021090
>still has the feet on it
That's gotta be worth $1k of anyone's money
>>
>>4021090
My local reselling Jew has common toploaders priced at 150$ and no one even questions that shit
I am in a high income area tho i guess
>>
>>4021107
He could mean literally stolen goods.
>>
>>4021107
English isn't my first language. I always thought "steal" just meant a thief was involved.
>>
>>4021157
Generally in this context when something is a "steal" it means it was good for the buyer. "$10 for Earthbound? What a fucking steal!", etc.

Deals and ripoffs is more like what you meant.
>>
>Ice Mario repo game
You got my attention.
>>
>>4021090
That's not even a ridiculous price for those though
>>4021143
$100+ is pretty standard for an NES-101 if that's what you're referring to, you know, because they're not particularly common at all.

I really need cash to pay my car insurance this month so I have lowered the price on the NES I was going to restore to a heavy discount.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/NES-Zapper-Super-Mario-Bros-Duck-Hunt-No-AC-adapter-Works-/232349390842?

This system and game does work. There's nothing wrong with it other than it's a bit dirty and it has the original ZIF connector. You might have to blow in the cart before insertion. It's just a regular old used NES you'd find at a yard sale.

>>
>>4021420
Find a better deal on ebay and I will lower the price to below it.
>>
>>4021456
I thought you needed cash and have bills to pay?

If you lower the price any more, by the time ebay's taken its cut you be lucky to get a big mac meal.
>>
>>4021391

I'd buy it for the hell of it, but let me ask this: how can you know it works without a power brick? This is like the Sega CD I bought where both it and the attached Genesis had bad caps and the seller didn't know because he didn't have a video cable.
>>
>>4021482
I used the AC adapter from my personal NES to test it.
>>
>>4021470
With fees and shipping it will take about $17 out of 49.99. I could go down, but not by much.
>>
>>4021391
>I really need cash to pay my car insurance this month so I have lowered the price on the NES I was going to restore to a heavy discount.
>$50 and no AC cable
>Heavy discount

Well thank god. Now it's only slightly unreasonable.
>>
>>4021545
Again, show me a better deal for an NES that isn't some kind of scam "untested" or "powers on but no video" sale and I'll try to beat the price on it.
>>
>>4021157
It means you got such a good deal that it feels like you are stealing from the seller.

I've sweetened the listing a bit. I have added a copy of Zelda II I wanted to sell by itself and a RF adapter.

I only increased the price of the auction by $5. Zelda II usually sells for over $15.

250 bucks for an atari 2600 and some games. lmao. atari 2600 are cheap no matter where you look and the games on average are like 5 or less dollars a piece. literally the biggest rip off ive seen in a while.
>>
>>4021792
The only thing of real value would probably be the manuals, if they are as good condition as he claims. Even then, yeah, that's five times what the lot is probably worth.

They're old transformers with fuck-knows-how much wear. Not only are they far less efficient than modern switching power supplies, but whereas a switching supply goes open circuit and stops working when it fails, an oldschool transformer PSU will usually bridge somewhere into a dead short.

Seemed like a pretty alright deal. Based on the pictures, it's in near immaculate condition. No yellowing or anything either. The struggle is that I'm going to need to use S-Video and I'm either going to shell put like 50 bucks for a good VGA+S-Video box or keep trying my luck with Chinese S-Video cables till I get one that isn't just composite.

First you take a time machine back to the 80s, and then you clip an order form out of the back of a comic comics books, check off the products you want, and then mail it in to the address on the ad with a check or money order for the appropriate amount + S&H.

>>
>>4021792

Dude, old NES games are hot 'n pricey now, and the 2600 is, like, even OLDER than that! Of course they're gonna be worth more!

>actual seller logic

I've actually been presented an argument similar to that for pricing a certain game, but replace age with rarity (and drop the console references).

>>

This is a good deal on my craigslist right now as we speak.
You just have to wait until a collector is cashing out and wants to sell as a lot. And also have the funds to cover it as well. Don't bother with the fifty NES bundle posts because they're usually garbage.

>>
>>4025503
I'd be happy to give you double that considering it's worth ~$120 loose with a good label. If you have the box and/or manual it'll be worth even more.
>>
>>4025579
I saw that price range floating around but didn't know if it was people over valuing it.

I wish I had the box, but having the manual is pretty good.
>>
it's annoying when people sell "lots" of ps1/ps2 era games or whatever and won't sell individual games. no one wants to spend 200 dollars on majority shovel ware.
>>
>>4025586
It's accurate. Congrats on your Ultravision handle game. The manual pushes the value up to I'd be confident to say $150 if not more.

Selling as a lot is normally the only way to get rid of shovelware, but obviously it still shouldn't be something like $200 for the whole thing

i own a heavy sixer that came in the original box from the 70s, all controllers includes, great condition, and probably the same amount of games including a CiB of asteroids un opened and in total i paid less than half of what this dude wants.

Link to a bunch of photos of my virtual boy I got for $300 off a Craigslist. It came with Galatic Pinball and Mario Tennis. I got Mario Clash and Teleroboxer for $60 at a used game store. The game store is also selling for $100 I think and a virtual boy caring case (with Virtual Boy) for $250 (I think)
>>
>>4028473
Anon here, it was also in near mint condition. It came with everything. The guy said he and his brother played only a couple times before putting it in there closet for almost ever.
