Sega and Capcom's games are my favorites: Quackshot, Illusion series, Magical series, Ducktales, Chip & Dale, Goof Troop.
Even The Little Mermaid on NES is pretty damn fun.

Almost all 8- and 16-bits games developed by Capcom or Sega of Japan are at least decent.

Avoid games developed by Sega of America (Fantasia, Tale Spin).
>>
Lion King, Aladdin and World of Illusion are great on the Genesis

The Beauty and the Beast games are garbage though
>>
I just remember Toy Story for the PC blowing my fucking mind like "HOW IS THIS STUFF EVEN POSSIBLE WITHOUT A 3D GRAPHICS CARD? OMG"
>>
>>4015929
oh yeah and Timon & Pumbaa's Jungle Games was the shit.
>>

The Genesis version does some impressive stuff.

GĂȘnesis Pocahontas has beautifull graphics and Sprite animations

Sprite animations are cool, kinda like PoP.
Gameplay and level design is atrocious though.

This and Mickey's Wild Adventure were both great. Played fine, had a bunch of variety, and filled with references to their source material
End of an era, as Disney went full 3D with the rest of their console output afterwards.
>>
There's several Disney games I love and are part of my list of essentials of the 8/16 bit era.
SNES Aladdin is probably my top favorite.
Then the three Capcom Mickey games on SNES.
Others I love would be Genesis Aladdin, Maui Mallard (either version, I don't care), Ducktales, and Chip & Dale
>>
>>4015396
Quackshot really is one hell of a game. A of these old meme games were good back then but Quackshot still holds up to this day.
>>
>>4015450
Did Sega of America make any good games? Fantasia is garbage and Tale Spin is radioactive flaming garbage.
>>
>>4015450
>>4016998
Fantasia was actually french.
worst of all, game was reviewed and okayed, despite being judged terrible.
>>
>>4016220
It's a shame the US only got the crappy SNES port. The camera is way too close and wonky and the movement is way too fast and twitchy on the SNES version, even if it does look way better than the Sega version.
>>
everybody loves MD Castle of Illusion, but the better game is the SMS version.
>>
>>4015450
Avoid this piece of shit made by BlueSky Software as well.

The NES version is great. The Sega version... not so much.

Toy Story 2 is well-loved, but be warned that it has funky controls and camera issues.
>>
>>4016224
This looks amazing. I'd dismissed the game up until now thinking it was another 3D shovelware piece of trash like every other Disney game on PS1/N64.
>>
>>4017015

The fuck is going on with Ursula.
>>
>>4017010
The game's also on PC.

>The NES version is great. The Sega version... not so much.
That's because they're 2 completely different games, NES Little Mermaid is a Capcom game.

By the way, this was one of the first PC games I ever played, Mickey's surprise birthday party or something like that. It was an edutainment game for young kids, I think I was 4 or 5 when I played that. It was beatable in like 7 minutes.

What the fuck, this game definitive version was on DOS you ignorant cretin, stop mentioning genesis ver., and kindly fuck off you fucking console kiddie piece of shit.
>>
>>4017393
Love that turkey!
>>
>>4021019
But anon, the MS-DOS version of Aladdin sucks, objectively. It has a cropped screen with a useless UI, and it's missing a level.
Virgin's Aladdin was developed for the Genesis hardware, ports of it all sucked. MS-DOS is still better than the crappy Game Boy and NES (PAL) ports, the later is especially horrid, but MS-DOS is still worse than the original Genesis ver.

What meme games?
But yeah Quackshot is a great adventure game. I'd place it high on my Genesis top games, not sure if top 10 but maybe top 20.
The soundtrack is great, this one is very eerie.

Atrocious? No, the game is just too simple and easy. The first levels are the most interesting ones.

If the Playstation/PC game is good, although simple and easy, this one is an unredeemable piece of trash.
The graphics doesn't even try to resemble the movie art. I mean, remember that time Hercules fought giant dragonflies and fire-spitting mayan stone heads on some tropical jungle?
If this wasn't the cover, this game could easily pass as some generic shovelware game.

For some reason the emulator can't emulate the game music, leaving only the annoying sound effects to be heard, but the game have a different SGB soundtrack.

Ducktales 1 and 2.
>>
Tarzan on PS1/N64 is okay. It's nothing too special, although I do enjoy it.

tfw the continue song is comfy
I really enjoyed WoI, very quick and enjoyable and Sega must of really enjoyed the earlier disney movies as they're referenced throughout the entire game.
Also majority of these games are better than kingdom hearts

Quack Attack (PS1, N64, DC, PS2) is very easy and short but a ok game. There's some ports on the GBC and GBA as well but I never played them.
>>
I liked the Pocahontas game for Genesis but it wasn't really long or anything
>>
>>4028094
Speaking of that, there's also a Tiger (from Winnie Pooh) game on N64 (and maybe PS1, not sure).
It's also an okay game, nothing special but it has some comfy art direction and it's a 2.5D platformer like Tarzan.
>>
>>4028094
Love that game, way better than the disney free roaming collectathons.

Legitimately a good game. I was surprised when I played it for the first time.
>>
>>4034806
There's nothing revolutionary about the game. It just looks good.
>>
>>4034812
Very pretty visuals but very average gameplay and level design.
>>
>>4023479
Alright my 1/18 cherokee american friend
>>
>>4034812

>>
>>4034812
Poorly optimized port (load times in a SNES game? Really now?) of a game with uninteresting level design, poor difficulty balance and floaty physics. The animations and graphics are nice.

It's pretty much what you'd expect from Western platformers of the era, all style and little to no substance. Traveller's Tales have never made a good game.
