Klonoa is a different kind of game. It's level-oriented like other 2.5 platformers, while Tomba has a Zelda-like progression (or even Metroid-like in some places).

It's pretty good, but I found the amount of backtracking slowly increased to the great detriment of the an otherwise solid experience.
