What is there left to do at the end of the game before fighting Lavos?
What is the best side quest?
bump
I don't know where to go at the end I think lavos is still too strong for me

I liked the side quest where Robo was left behind to restore the forest.

There's a character-specific quest with every chracter. The campfire scene for Luca's has great atmosphere, but I like Marle's secondary trial one the best.
I just checked back in this thread to say I finished all the side quests. Im sitting at lvl 50 but am having trouble with last boss
is it worth grinding an extra 2-3 levels and where can I accomplish this best?
fav sidequest robo restoring the forest.

You shouldn't need to grind.
Did you do the Black Omen? You can get more levels there if you want while fighting the optional Queen Zeal.
You should have zero problems with Lavos at 50.

yeah I went there last
I got the rainbow sword, masamune, prism dress, wondershot, etc.
I get to the final version of last boss.
but im not sure if im supposed to kill the adds first or nuke the middle boss
the only time I tried the fight and he kills me

>There's a character-specific quest with every chracter
Except for Ayla.
My favorite sidequest was reuniting Marle with her dad, the whole thing is the longest and is mixed with other character's stories, but there really isn't any "best" one.

You're supposed to kill one of the Lavos "bits". The other Lavos parts can be resurrected by the true "bit".
>>4004474
Yeah, totally reasonable, it's unclear how to beat Lavos the first time.
Your end goal is to destroy the right bit, thats your win condition.
To do it, you need to destroy the Left Bit, which removes the shield on the right bit. I can't remember if you need to destroy the mid-part of Lavos but you need to continually kill the left bit, to stop him from healing and activate Active-Life which lowers his defense.
Spamming Luminaire, Confuse, Uzzi-Punch, Cat Attack are all recommended. Just abuse any elixiers and mega-elixers you may have left and you should be fine.

>Except Ayla
Ayla has the most developed and completed story in the main game. There was really nothing left for her to do.
>>4004485
Yet they removed her Chanting Mountain quest from the game.

The Chanting Mt quest was mean to be made after Chrono dies and is resurrected, not as an end game sidequest.
