>>3994097
>7/11
I bet you don't like any SNES game guessing from your mosaic.
9/9 by the way
Mostly a rpg and platformer guy, any suggestions are welcomed.
>>3993628
4/4, I still need to try saga and FFT. FF was never a series that really got me.
>>3993783
5/5, Was debating on mother 1 myself, I love all the mother games honestly.
>>3993809
0/4, it's not that you have bad taste but of the four of those I have played (FFVI, MGS1, SMRPG, and zombies ate my neighbors) I dropped all of them. I might return to MGS1 eventually though.
>>3993897
0/2, I did not like DK64 or snatcher. Is that a front mission in the top left corner? Looks cool, what game is it?
>>3993919
8/8, what game is that between sin and punishment and super mario world?
>>3994071
Too many, but it seems cool.
>>3994097
3/4, I'm dumb and I remember alien soldier just confusing me. Probably just have to get good.
>>3994164
>what game is that between sin and punishment and super mario world?
system shock 1
>>3994178
Thank you, appreciate it greatly.
>>3994164
>Rockman & Forte
My nigga. This game deserves more love.
>>3994215
Good to see another fan. I assume most people might have played the crappy gba port where the smaller screen size makes it much tougher to play. I think it probably is my favorite of the series, though its been awhile since I played 9. I was debating putting 4 but MM&B has some replayability and a good difficulty so it edged it put a bit.
>>3993897
Fuck year Shining Force.
Fuck year Shenmue
Fuck year KoF
Fuck year real bout
Really, DK64?
Really, middle-right? I've forgotten it's name but I don't remember enjoying it but hey, it's your list.
Good taste.
>>3994164
Genuine question, why do you prefer Dragon Quest VII?

Jet Set Radio
>>3994360
I really just enjoyed nearly everything about it. The episodic format of visiting each island in the past and present reminded me of a saturday morning cartoon which I feel perfectly suits DQ. The class system is fun and I enjoy the progression you feel of slowly seeing your characters advance to your planned final job for them. The characters feel memorable and amusing while staying simple. Overall I just found it the most personally appealing of the series to my personal taste. I enjoy both the original and remake for different reasons but decided to stay retro and went the original ps1 version.
>>3993628
8/9 Aside from Shinobi I like all your games either somewhat or a fuck ton (ecco, saga1) and bonus points for Outrun 2019

Crap, Crap, Crap
GOAT, GOAT, Average
All Megadrive except Phantasy Star.
Whenever I played a PAL Snes, it always seemed laggy, so I never cared for it.
>>4000382
>Ecco
>Crap
That might be the first time I've ever heard that opinion. I'm not attempting to discount it, but I'm curious: what makes you think it's crap?
>>4000404
because the pal version runs at a slower speed you dumb fuck
>>4000704
No shit, Sherlock. Great deduction there, champ. It's almost as if he mentioned it was PAL specifically for that reason.

Games I liked/games on your list played
So if someone puts a 5/6 for example that means they played six games on the person's list but enjoyed five of them.
>>3993628

>>4002646

>>4000404
this man is a gentleman, at least he post the name of the games
>>4000404
Thanks for reminding me I should finally tackle the Monster World series. Should I play it in chronological order? I've actually thought of starting with "The Dragon's Trap" first, as I've heard about it the most, next to Monster World IV.

Brain Lord (SNES)
>>4003791
>2/2, I wanna play Bangai-O now
You really should, Bangai-O is fucking awesome.
3/6 Metriod, Starcon and Doom
>>4003657
Ahh, not played it then. Probably not my bag.
>>4003363
They are all unrelated.
Dragon's Trap is great. The recent remake does a great job. It's exactly the same as it was on Master System.
Monster World IV is great. and
Wonder Boy in Monster Land is pretty good
BUT
Wonder boy III : Monster Lair is very bad
Wonderboy I is average
Wonderboy in Monster World is fantastic until a few areas towards the end with nigh on impossible jumps between moving platforms over multiple screens. You'll need an emulator with save states to do it without dying from frustration.
No need to play in any order.
>>4006117
Thanks Anon, I'll probably skip Monster Lair and 1.

>>4011017
3/3, LoZ, FF5, and SotN. I have disc copies of thief 1&2, what could I realistically expect coming into them in 2017? I'm willing to forgive archaic game mechanics if it means a fun experience.
>>4011467
I played them for the first time last year, only the graphics are archaic, the game mechanics hold up to this day. They're both immersive and atmospheric games with simple to understand but well rooted mechanics and the game never deviates from the core gameplay. The graphics have aged a small bit but I think they look visually pleasing and communicate all the information they need to to the player. If you like dark fantasy and exploration, you like the first one more, if you like a steampunk settings and thieving based missions you'll like the second better. Both are mechanically the same otherwise for the most part. Enjoy.
>>4011017
4/4
I really need to get around to playing Vagrant Story.
>>4003337
Brain Lord nice
>>4013784
You should, it's amazing. Don't go into it expecting a 3rd person action game, it's more of a 3D SRPG. It's got great atmosphere, beautiful artstyle, unique gameplay, nice enemy verity, and exploration is fun and feels rewarding.
