Aerobiz Supersonic was released on PC and PC-98, but only in Japan.

The first game was also released on Playstation and Saturn

nice wiki link.

So the ps/saturn port is obscure?
>>
>>3990792
Well, it wasn't released on the west
>>
Twinbee was on the Amiga.

recently played this on snes. its actually a really fun game. wasnt there another version of this just called aerobiz. is supersonic the westernization of aerobiz?
>>
>>3990974
Not OP but Supersonic is the sequel to the original Aerobiz.
>>
>>3990787
This version the Office is awesome, Dwight has a bigger weapon.

SFII on the PC ENGINE, and 8 bit console

The PCE is not wholly 8-bit by any means, nor is that port particularly obscure.
>>
>>3993658
Brazil had an awful SF 2 Master System port. Worse than perhaps every Chinese NES hack.
>>
>>3990967
I'm surprised they never got sued by Konami. They again, those idiots never bothered to localize the series in the U.S. outside Stinger on the NES.
>>
>>3991226
NES port is unbearable. Garish color choices and that awfully high-pitched music conversion, man.

Obscure indeed, I didn't know this was on SNES. The soundtrack carried over nicely too.
>>
>>3993685
>>3993683
Huh, yes it is, just because it was marketed as 16bit doesn't change the fact that is technically 8bit but overclocked

But what I wanna know is how they were able to port SF2CE in a Hucard, when the first one got ported as a CD game, and there was the arcade card which could been used.
>>
>>3995393
As I said, it's not 'wholly 8-bit', it's just an interesting half-step between generations. To quote Wikipedia:

The TurboGrafx-16 has an 8-bit CPU, a 16-bit video color encoder, and a 16-bit video display controller.

Regarding your other question, it's the only HuCard game of its size, it's 20megabits iirc, which is way larger than any other HuCard game. That's why the end of the card is 'fatter' than others.
>>
>>3995454
Do you consider Z80-based platforms to be partially 16 bits cause the CPU has 16 bit registers and supports 16 bit arythmetics?
>>
>>3995819
apples and oranges hombre, 16 bit graphics units are 16 bit, 8-bit CPU is 8 bit. It's a hybrid, and as I keep saying not 'wholly 8-bit' which is quite literally true.
>>
>>3995840
Graphic units don't dictate whether or not a system is a 16 bit or an 8 bit system.
The data bus is 8 bit, the CPU is 8 bit, thus the system is an 8 bit system.
>>
>>3995873
when it has a defining architecture difference that is totally unlike the other 8-bit systems, I think it's disingenuous. Our terminology for these things sucks is all.
>>
>>3995883
>when it has a defining architecture difference that is totally unlike the other 8-bit systems, I think it's disingenuous.
Well it's just your opinion.
>Our terminology for these things sucks is all.
Not at all. An Amiga or a Machintosh equipped with a 68881 FPU doesn't magically becomes a "partially 81 bit system" just because part of the chipset can do floating-point math with 81 bit-wide data.

I don't say that the PC Engine doesn't stand out -- it's a really powerful 8 bit console, but it having a 16 bit video chipset doesn't make it "partially 16 bit".

>>3995393
>But what I wanna know is how they were able to port SF2CE in a Hucard, when the first one got ported as a CD game, and there was the arcade card which could been used.
From my understanding, Capcom developed the PCE port in-house, like they did with the SFC and MD versions (Hyper Mickey was credited on all three versions) and they deliberately avoided developing the game on CD-ROM due to loading times.

I love this "port" not just because of the extra hits, but something about it feels rather differently paced. Just pretty cool overall to me.

>You will never get an English version of Aerobiz for PS1 even though it was originally going to be released as Aerobiz 2000
It hurts more than the fact we never got that brief era of SSTs that the game predicted.

There were a lot of strange, unnecessary Game Boy ports, e.g. the whole Turok series is available on the go!? Even Rage Wars, the multiplayer focused title.
