Felghana came out 12 years ago. Lacrimosa of Dana is the latest Ys game, and while different I wouldn't say it's mediocre, it's actually pretty fun. I do prefer the Felghana style, since Ys SEVEN the games have had a party system and I'd rather have Adol flying solo, but they're still good. Only flaw in Lacrimosa is that the opening became a generic orchestral opening instead of having a traditional Ys rock song.
