Try Dragon Warrior Monster if you want an alternative to Pokemon. IMO it did it better and brought in unique monster breeding before Pokemon ever even though of it.

Well I just figured that asking here was the better choice because this board is frequented by people who know more about retro systems than the average joe. Googling or going to /wsr/ would just entail the more vanilla titles everyone had as a kid. Thanks though.

C We get this thread every week, with tons of worthless responses.
D Game Boy fans are really casual and don't have anything interesting to say. It's the most casual fanbase of any console or computer.

I actually explicitly don't want Pokemon or Zelda. I never liked Pokemon and I prefer 3d Zelda titles. I'm sorry, I personally haven't seen a Gameboy recommendation thread in the past few weeks I've been browsing the board.
