What game is this?
>>3956967
mr-nutz-03
>>3957024
I want to play with Mr. Nuts.
galaxy fight is pretty fun with a friend, 1p AI will give you herpes
>>3957165
Unlike all those other fighting games that are enjoyable to play against the AI?
>>3957024
lionheart_amiga
>>3957024
>mr-nutz-03
A rare game, I only have the first two myself.
>>3957468
Super Metroid?
>>3957587
Nah, the sequel. People hated its portrayal of Samus, but in retrospect it's clearly miles more faithful than Other M.
Kid Chameleon!
>>3958302
You think that is colorful?
>>3956965
Flink, aguarbly the best usage of Mega Drive's colour palette ever.
>>3957024
Henk Nieborg is a pixel art god.
>>3958527
Holy god damn, this could pass for a modern 2D platformer
>>3958573
>modern 2D platformer
No it couldn't. That means it would have either 8bit shitty pixel sprites or ugly 3d models.
>>3958573
So like every European platformer?
Also, no. Indie's do not know jackshit about pixel art.
>>3958693
>Indie's
Indies.
>>3958573
Thats not a compliment
>>3957061
>>3959359
Subtle.
>>3958527
that's fuckin beautiful
I looked the game up and boy, for a game every motherfucker seems to have at least three cib copies of it sure is expensive
funny, that
>>3959417
You can easily pirate the Sega CD port, it has more levels, too.
Heart of Darkness, it looks much better in motion, though, The backgrounds are all FMVs,
>>3959601
as much as this was the big thing when I was younger...I've never played it still.
The first Sonic game on Master System. Specifically the Scrap Brain level for me.
A lot of the SMS games had great colour palettes.
>>3959601
The game seems to be all FMV, and I can't understand how they did that.
I love Tyrannomon colors.
>>3957275
Game?
>>3959775
Filename
>>3958741
>INDIES
more like INDIEOTS, Hipsters and shitwads who doesn't know a thing about pixel art
it reminds me of Mugen Community
>>3959694
French magic
>>3959697
Fantastic game.
>>3956965
really? no one?
>>3960386
Hey it's that one level that's used exactly once.
>>3960394
>As if it's not a damn shame...
>>3960386
The original Marvel VS Capcom still looks amazing today.
>>3958589
Wow, jaded much?
>>3960420
shuma gorath made me feel weird in my pants at an early age
odd how early on degeneracy can set in
>>3961237
*nasally narcissistic permavirgin voice*
Correction, that was actually Marvel vs Street Fighter
>>3961326
>*action*
You could've just used this picture to get your point across without typing like a cringey faggot.
>>3959694
It's mostly pre-renders and clever usage of sprites.
>>3961326
oh right
sorry
>>3960386
The honey levels from DKC2 also had beautiful colors.
>>3960420
Capcom knew how to use colors pretty well. Shame their current games like MVCI look atrocious or just plain boring.
>>3961393
Emulate it. The graphics aren't composed of background layers and sprites like almost every 2D Playstation game.
It's all just one thing, like a FMV.
>>3962464
pretty sure the engine is some fucked up witchcraft shit and its like that on the playstation version because it's merely emulating the engine. Makes ripping the sprites impossible. The fmv and sprites are kept within one specially encrypted file for the PC version that only the game process can access.
A couple of GBC games.
Warzard / Red Earth
>>3966226
oops, can't see pixels in that one
>>3964530
If you want a really colorful GBC game, check out Merlin.

And I cannot believe nobody has mentioned Ristar yet.
>>3960368
>sonic CD
Astal is disappointingly pretty boring to play, but wow it's pretty.
>>3956965
This. For some reason, it works really shitty on linux version of FS-UAE, so i cannot fibish the last world after shifting to Ubuntu.
Also, Ninja Baseball Bat Man is a very good looking game (inb4 yes, i learned about its existence from metaljesus's channel) and two racers hold a special place at my heart for looks: Motor toon Grand Prix and Axelerator: have a N.I.C.E. day.
>>3958527
Is it better on Amiga or Megadrive?
Disposable Hero, Super Stardust and Apidya on the Amiga, nice soundtracks too - apidya lev1 music always makes me smile

also Unreal

Seiken Densetsu 3 has beautiful color palettes.
>>3962512
If it's a simple stream cipher it should be very much possible to reap the encryption key from the game process with a debugger. Or just reap the sprites themselves. On the PlayStation you can press reset at the right time and dump the VRAM with one of the GameGenies clones to get the sprites. I think it can transfer them to a PC over serial or something like that.
>>3967930
s/reap/rip/g
>>3963159
Lush!
>>3967930
I've tried multiple ways to rip the sprites, but haven't had any luck. I'll be blatantly obvious in my stupidity and say right now I have very little understanding of what you're suggesting but I'm assuming that if it worked somebody would have already done it by now. Though the game's obscurity could account for nobody trying it yet.
Any attempts at ripping the sprites I've done so far gets the full screen in one image like an FMV.
This was an engine made by the developers themselves from scratch and never used again. It's possible the playstation version was remade using a different preexisting engine, but I'm not sure.
>>3968204
Such a weird game.
>>3957275
That is literally dracular from Harmony of Dissonance
>>3968310
Konami should sue.
Tales was a pretty game. Not great, but pretty.
>>3970230
Good graphics. Shame the gameplay is shit.
>>3970252
I don't like it very much either
Looks gorgeous, though.
>>3964530
What's the game in the top-row-middle-column?
>>3970302
Alone in the Dark
I have the cart my self, it pushes the limits of the Gameboy Color , but it's a really short game
>>3970279
Very pretty
>>3968321
I always loved that SD/Chibi like artstyle of the first.. three? games.
Damn shame they went 3D and turned everything into standard average anime crap.
>>3956965
Turrican Amiga version. Also had excellent music.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=70xp5mnsx1A
>>3971758
>and turned everything into standard average anime crap.
It always looked like animu crap though, even with the "SD" sprites.
Astal
Keio Flying Squadron 2
>>3968204
The Wonder Project games have an amazing aesthetic. It's like playing and watching a Studio Ghibli movie.
>>3968160
so pleased with this contribution
the time i spent playing this game wew lad
>>3959697
>mfw he was in the new game
