Robopon one is pretty much just pokemon with a different way to handle moves
Robopon 2 diverges a bit more with both new battling methods (4v4) and robopon aquisition (you don't just use renamed pokeballs)

Robopon 1 has a pretty nice OST and some of the designs are cute. I remember trying to emulate it ages ago but I feel like the emulator couldn't handle the game right, robopon never spawned after a certain point and I got stuck with an underleveled sunny
