This game is like a really elaborate, lavishly crafted FUCK YOU note

when you get clocked by the fucking bear

is this a kings quest kinda game? Fuck these games. Fuck them all. Not even restupurae could make them tolerable. I think the creators spent too much time patting themselves on that back for creating such a "rich" game lol. It really stinks and has no redeaming features.

Come on man, it says Quest For Glory right there in the topbar.
>>3950849
oh! my bad!!I was asking if it was made by the same people, why don't you come on, man?
>>3950845
It's made by the same people, but Quest for Glory is really more RPGy than King's Quest. You have stats to level and character classes to choose from.

I highly suspect these "RPG" elements are extremely shallow.. am I correct?

Not him but surprisingly: not really. It's a pretty fun series to play, and you build stats and solve quests based on how you play the game and what you focus on:
You improve strength and stamina by working for scraps on the castle courtyard or going around jogging (and obviously: combat). You get better at climbing and can get up crazier places by attempting to climb stuff (like trees and cliffs). You throw more accurately by picking up rocks or buying knives and just target practicing wherever you like. Thief skills and magic spells raise themselves as well as intelligence, and so forth. Your practice time is limited by a day/night cycle and the character's stamina
Plus, you can multiclass and pick skills from other classes (spending a ton on points) for an ever more fun but also more challenging game in the beginning. Even more, you can transfer your character to the next game for a cooler starting point.
It's a good hybrid game, but specially if you like regular graphic adventures. (It's probably too simple for oldschool RPG players). It's a bit too snarky with the random deaths though; it really likes suggesting you're an idiot for falling in bullshit traps
