Do those convert S-Video into Component?
Pelican System Selector

I use this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003ANXHWM
Seems they stopped selling it unfortunately but anything like this should work great. You don't need anything powered to be certain, a simple switch mechanism is all that's needed.

I prefer the gcompsw and gscartsw by superg.
They are automatic switchers but they are the best in the market IMO.
Just wait for one to be in stock and they do the job really well.

>I prefer the gcompsw and gscartsw by superg.
>$220
>has to be preordered
hahaha fucking no.
>>3949776
No.
Why would you want to do that anyhow?
>>3950832
You clearly have more money than sense namefag.

I have pic related. I don't notice any noise or video issues with it, but I don't have a very good eye for super subtle stuff. I'm using it with a consumer Trinitron so it seems fine. The remote is garbage though and doesn't work at all.
>>3951645
I should add that I found mine at a hardware warehouse for $15 each, so I don't know if they're worth it at full price.

So why would you get these things, when you can hook everything up to your tv?

No thanks.
I use a Sony SB-V40S for my N64 and GameCube since I'm forced to use S-video on them. I wish they had an S-video switch that looked like pic related (was marketed specifically for gaming) but I don't think they ever did.

Does this do RGB SCART or is it just composite SCART?
As I understand it, pic related is a signal splitter for sending one signal into multiple receivers. Do they have cables like this in reverse that expand the inputs without having to buy a large powered switcher? I only need two sets of component jacks for my CRT but most switchers I've seen are at least 4.
>>3951960
RGB of course
>>3952036
>tfw no switch with Component, RGBSCART, S video and Composite inputs
>>3951978
Y splitters are always an option, I've also heard of people using patch bays so you might want to look into those.
>>3952068
Combine the SCART switch I posted with some of these.
BAM! Added YPbPr capability...
>>3952068
If you use Scart to BNC breakout cables and other adapters, you could use an extron switcher
>>3951960
I do wish that superg will do an S-Video switch.
It would be called the gsvideosw.
>>3951978
Invest in a splitter. You say you only need 2 now, but you can always add more.
I use this to stream off of my lightgun/arcade racer set up + 4 way splitter
>PS2
>OG Xbox
>OG Wii
>Xbox 360
Into a 4 way splitter
Have pic related in the output section. One set of component going into my 480i CRT, one set of component going into my capture card.
When I have the time I usually stream Time Crisis 2, LA Machineguns & Outrun 2 all with arcade-ish peripherals.
Does anyone here use an av receiver? Do they create lag?

What happens if you have two console signals going into a Y-Splitter at the same time?
https://www.amazon.com/MT-VIKI-Splitter-Selector-Adapter-MT-831AV/dp/B00DRGDBTG/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top?ie=UTF8
Is this any good?

Everything will create lag just depends how much, itll be very minimum for most things.
>>3953108
Well the only consoles I run on component are my PS2, Xbox, Wii and 360 but the Wii and 360 are plugged into my Hdtv. I could stand to move my Wii to CRT but even then I'll only need 3 sets. I suppose I could buy a 4 way switcher in that case but having the two unused inputs feels wasteful
>>3953961
I've been wondering this myself because I have two consoles connected through a y-splitter and I'm terrified that I'm accidentally going to accidentally turn both consoles on and destroy everything.
You just get weird interference from both signals going into the same input at the same time. No big deal.
>>3954273
DON'T DO THIS
I just tried this and it made mustard gas.

Ewwwwwwwwww

I've never used it, the reviews should probably be able to say though.

I'll give you one.
Use a vcr
Then u can watch ur movies an record ur games footy w/out fiddling with cords
A GE Video / Audio / Game Selector. I don't know about a specific model number. It's just a generic unit you should be able to find at Walmart. Although they're probably cheaper online. I think I gave USD$20 for mine.
They support composite and S-video only, up to five of each. And they don't require any kind of power supply.
It's unthinkable that anyone would be able to connect all (or any) of their retro consoles via component cables, so I'm not sure why you would need component support from an A/V hub. S-video is the way to go. The image is extremely clear compared to composite, and virtually indiscernible from component.
>>3949009
That uneven white stripe on the left is bothering me. Did someone do that with whiteout?
>>3961520
>GE
Ugh
It's nice to have the option of using component and/or RGB for non-retro consoles, DVD and Blu-Ray players etc.
>>3961520
I had one of those. Motherfucker never would work right.
