The thing is, you don't know how necessary it is to maximize your output until you've beaten the game, you don't know if there's going to be difficulty spikes that will fuck you over and get you stuck because you didn't spend enough time grinding. For me it's too late, I'm already burned out on the game.

bullshit

the drama surrounding the characters makes the grinding worthwhile, unlike in 2 where they're practicaly "generics" and leveling them up is just for the sake of mechanics.

You can get the revive talent and skip leveling, or skip the talent and level a lot. Only time you really need it is EQ.

It's literally just VP1 characters duking it out, and since VP does not have nearly enough attacks to make actual fighter, it gets old real fast. Sage for off topic post.
