At least if you are there for touhou you already know there also Flame Zapper Kotsujin too as doujin in it.

You like Y's ?
Go for Xak series and give Fray spin off a shoot it's cuter if you are into those kind of things.(they are translated for MSX and snes but not for PC88/PC98)

Sword Dancer is an rpg with combat like in a VS fighting game. It look nice and play nice.

For something more forward go for Rusty or slightly more obscure (and less dark) Totsugeki Mix.
I can give

good luck with that

well at least ITH works fine with most of the PC98 VNs
with little imagination the machine translation makes at least some kind of sense if the writing isn't too complicated

Don't use Anex86. It's the worst, least updated PC-98 emulator out there. Use Np2fmgen. It's the most compatible and is still receiving updates to this day (most recent was last month, I believe.)

If you need help setting it up, go here for a quick and short guide to the basics: http://46okumen.com/pc-98-emulation

They're also releasing translation patches so it's probably a good idea to keep track of them (Rusty is next apparently, no idea when).

Definitely try EVO from there.

Hello, I have a PC9821 with Windows 95 installed on it and I was wondering if i could play Windows 95 or MSDOS games on my PC98 using that

Is it a waste of time?
>>
>>3928482
Obviously you can play PC98 MS-DOS games. Maybe there are some PC98 Win95 games but you won't be able to run IBM compatible DOS(-V) or Win95 games.

Get us the BIOS files need for SL9821, pls.

I can run the games and that's it.
>>
>>3928492
I thought one of the points of Windows 95 for PC-98 was that it was compatible with most Windows 95 software made for IBM PC-compatibles

So wait, this new emulator is supposedly more accurate, but no one actually knows because it's unusable without some files from a real PC9821, and only the files from one specific model will work and no one can figure out which one it is and the emulator author won't say? Am I understanding this right? What a bizarre situation.

Also, the license for this thing is a goddamn joke, holy shit. No one should be touching it with a ten-foot pole. It's specifically forbidden to post screenshots of the emulator on any site with advertising. What the fuck.
>>
>>3928639
It's actually decently usable now. Check this post from Tokugawa Corp.

We still don't have the exact SL9821 first edition BIOS files needed to use it absolutely bug free, but we can run a bunch of stuff on it now. Also, I doubt >>3928482 has the exact model we need the BIOS roms from either.
