Some beat up old DMG that I don't even remember how I came across. I was poor growing up, so gaming was largely inaccessible to me. I didn't own a Game Boy until I was well into my high school days, and by then, GBC had already been on the market for years.

I think Kirby's Dream Land was the first GB title I ever owned. From there, I seem to remember acquiring PokeMon Blue and Final Fantasy Adventure, likely from pawn shops.

>How do you play your games now?
Game Boy Pocket. It has the biggest screen of the entire retro GB line. You can't play GBC games on it, but there are so few GBC-exclusives I'd really care for.

>Favorite games
Bomberman Collection, which never left Japan. It's a compilation of Bomber Boy, classic NES Bomberman, Bomberman GB and Bomberman GB2. A real bang for your buck.

Tetris Flash, called Tetris 2 in the States. This game more closely resembles Sega's Columns. I find it a lot more enjoyable than the sheer redundancy of classic Tetris, especially since there are puzzle and versus CPU modes to keep the gameplay from stagnating.

Nobunaga's Ambition. Part of Koei's grand strategy series. These types of games have practically infinite replay value,, but aren't everybody's cup of tea. I guess most people don't find it very exciting to issue menu commands and just watch statistics go up.

Years later I bought other games, so I´ll add as favourites titles like Wario Land II and 3, Hamtaro Hams Hams Unite! and MGS GB

Motherfucking Donkey Kong '94. Pic related so you don't mistake it for Donkey Kong Land or Country. Excellent game, one of the best little puzzle games out there for the Gameboy, even though it is technically a puzzle-platformer. Many levels only take up a single screen, but each level is very well designed and filled with fantastic content, great music, and a charming atmosphere. Pretty big game too, around nine worlds, so you'll be entertained for a while. Biggest overlooked gem in Nintendo's GB library imo.

Games like Link's Awakening as must haves if you enjoy adventure games with puzzle aspects, and Six Golden Coins is one of the best platformers on the system. Original Pokemon games are great too, and Kirby's Dream Land is another classic to check out. If you elaborate on your tastes more recommendations could be narrowed down.

DW3 probably holds up the best nowadays out of the three. It's a huge game with a lot of customization and openness.

The earlier games are good too (I really like DW1), but they're archaic and limited in comparison.

An original DMG I got used at Electronic Boutique. The Pocket had been out awhile, but I saved up and could afford the original.

Pokemon Yellow; along with saving for the used DMG, I pulled together all the money I had to get a copy of Pokemon with it, I found Yellow used at a Blockbuster and ended up a few dollars short at the register (I was like 10, didn't factor tax, etc). The girl who rang me up pitched in the rest after seeing how sad I was, and I'll never forget that.

Mostly on a Black Pocket I've had forever, it's my favorite version of the hardware. I also have a GB Boy Colour I use to play in the dark or Color-only games. I've also got one of the awesome 'DMG Color' GB Pockets from Japan.

Pokemon R/Y/S, Alleyway, Game & Watch Galleries, Last Bible series. The GB really was a Pokemon machine for me as a kid, I'm only now getting into its greater library. Should probably get an EverDrive...

Actually, I just discovered there are 2 different Galaga ports. The one with Galaxian actually looks pretty good! I ended up getting the GBC port as a kid which happened to be a stinker.

and GameboyColor,Advance on GBASP
but the real pain Gameboy Gameboypocket GameboyLight screen have motion blur.
It ok to play slow backgroud game.
but if I want to play super mario land 2 or metroid 2 or Dongkykong land, I must use GBC or GBAsp, it have very faster LCDscreen
