Still using ZSNES when others have surpassed it 100 times over. *facepalm*
If you're going to emulate, at least use SNES9x or Higan/bsnes (maybe with Retroarch since it allows you to do a LOT more!)

>maybe with Retroarch since it allows you to do a LOT more!
Yeah, like introduce input lag and shove half a dozen new bugs into the core.
>>3913438
ZSNES emulates fine the maybe 4 SNES games I bother playing, that never got a superior port on a later console. So why bother switching? It is already set up in my computer, I just open it up and play.

RA has less input lag than higan:

There are also not "half a dozen new bugs", literally every game works as well in bsnes-mercury as it does in higan.

Okay? You seem to have missed the point. RA and Higan are not the only NES emulators in existence.
>but muh cycle accuracy
I ain't emulating on an i7 just to play 20-year-old games like an autist.

^ SNES
Fucking Google. I was too distracted trying to click thumbnails of mountains.
Wasn't there some emulator basically using bsnes with Zsnes's UI?
>>3914002
zmz can use any core AFAIK.
>>3912440
Why save a state in a short game like x1?
>>3914015
The last level with all the Mavericks, the new bosses and Sigma is fairly long, and doesn't have passwords for mid-bosses.
I mean, I don't think save states should be used, you should be able to beat the whole level in one go, that's the true way to beat MMX, but I dunno, casuals gonna casual.
>>3914015
So you can take a shit any time you please

>what is pausing the game
>>3914064
That's correct, anon.
>>3914064
Can't pause cutscenes, dumbass.
>>3914095

>cutscene doesn't go forward

>>3914113
If your shit comes on so quickly and you can't hold it in for the few seconds of unskippable cutscenes without cropping yourself you've got bigger problems than finishing a mega man game
>>3912440
Use Bizhawk and enjoy glorious rewind that actually behaves like a rewind.
>>3914131
Well fuck you too
>>3913983
This is shitty bait, I have a 2Ghz laptop and play bsnes just fine.
How do you guys stop yourself from going into autistic rage when you see someone using ZSNES on a modern PC?
>>3915665
>This is shitty bait
It's called hyperbole, Anon. Not everything that disagrees with your shitty e-pinions is bait.
>>3915675
I agree the engine is trash but I get a nostalgia boner every time I see the UI, thats why I use ZMZ instead.
>>3915675
Calmly and easily. In fact I use it myself. I use a real SNES too. If when I play a game the two feel different in a way that concerns me, I'll give up ZSNES (for that game) in favor of either a different emulator or a real SNES.
That has never happened, but if it does, that's what I'll do about it. Pretty simple.
>>3913449
This really. I've been emuing on ZSNES for a decade and have never run across a problem with a game that didn't run. Worse case is maybe some layer transparencies didn't show up right but who cares, I didn't even notice if it did happen.
