Does this thing works?
I want to display my laptop screen on my CRT. Is it good for gaming? Can I set my laptop resolution to native CRT resolution?

Expect a lot of lag.
i just got mine today and it did not fucking work
>>3910418
Was it the same from OP's pic?

yes

>> Chinked
I had a white little box. Hdmi to av. It worked fine. Way less lag than i thought it would have. Only 480i for output though

You're after an authentic retro gaming CRT experience except you'll never get an authentic experience because a) you're using emulators and all the input lag associated with them and b) you're using shitty chink boxes that output at the wrong resolution for most systems and also introduce more input lag.
So this begs the question, why are you wanting to use a CRT anyway when you aren't getting any of the benefits that a CRT would offer you if you were using the actual consoles?
I think people have elevated that CRT to something super desirable that every single retro gamer should use when in reality it's only really beneficial to the small subsection of gamers that use original consoles.

Yes. No. No.
I've used HDMI to av converters to good effect before and with not too bad of lag but it's still going to suck because no 240p kind of defeats the point. I'm currently in the process of getting a compatible card for crt emudriver and converting from vga but that's the only way you'll get retro emu with true native resolution on a crt. I'd say since your laptop probably can't utilize any other methods to connect to the crt afaik I think a regular monitor and trying to scale the games as natively as possible is the best looking option compared to crt 480i flicker but that's my opinion

-Next to no lag with HardGPU Sync and Frame Delay.
-Picture quality is fantastic
-Etc

Is that some kind of chip that you can have component signal out of RaspPi3? And if so, where can I get one?

okay, so pretty much everybody on this board then?

Outside of being required for light-gun games, I'd much rather have either a good HDMI mod, or something akin to the AVS.
I'm hoping someone out there, besides analogue, will make an FPGA SNES and Genesis.

Pretty sure we all agree the "lag", as your autism refers to, is non existent in emulators vs real consoles. There are ways to get a desktop to a CRT near delay free (or about as much delay as you pretend you will notice 10-20ms). Don't talk on subjects you know nothing about.

Fucking thank you.
