Parappa the Rapper

I like it, but it still feels finicky to play. Looks great ingame, cutscenes are identical which is disappointing but not surprising. Nice to have 1 and 2 on PS4 now.

I tried playing Lammy recently and I'm finding it difficult to the point of being impossible. I assume it must be the input lag caused by playing on an HD TV since no matter how hard I try the game says I'm failing inputs.

Yep, Parappa and Lammy are borderline unplayable on anything but CRTs, in much the same way as Bust a Groove and other rhythm games from the era. Parappa 2 is okay and the PS4 Parappa is a port of the PSP game which has different timing to compensate.

Every TV is different, there's no guarantee you'll get lag on every LCD out there. The games could only be tested on CRTs though so while other titles can seem lagless rhythm games are where those frames really matter.

Yeah, it was released by Namco but presumably in very limited qualities. There's no rom, no footage, just a few pictures and descriptions to go by.
