because nobody uses linux
- Posted from my Debian Linux install.
Because PC gaming is small and linux gaming is microscopic
>>3902429
Not true, there was a 0.02% increase in Linux gaming on Steam in the last month. Windows gaming is over.
>>3902473
>make no linux version, or a "port" that just runs badly in wine
>wonder why linux users don't buy games
>>3902478
>all linux users buy games, even wine ports
>PC sales jump from 80,000 to 82,550
Would you like some cheese with that W[h]ine?
>>3902473
And I'm the 0.02%!
I don't know why. Linux is just the kernel, so it makes no sense.
>Small business is done on Apple
>Big business is done on Unix
>Internet browsing is done on phones
>Gaming is done on PC
>>3902648
Why own Apple shit? What's the point?
>>3902648
>any business
>done on apple
kek. Even video editors are switching over to Wangblows, including professional ones.
>>3902658
Status.
>>3902874
By looking like an idiot?
What's the actual problem? You actually expected game devs to actually put in the work to port the games?
>>3902904
Loki did, once upon a time. It was nice.
Yeah, it's pretty scummy to call a WINE-wrapped game "ported to Linux".
>>3902992
Especially when their wine wrapper is usually poorly-configured and written in such shit-tier bash that I'm compelled to re-write it myself and then just do it up in PlayOnLinux anyway.
they just program games in unity from the start nowadays
economically it makes too much sense, unless you get some hot exclusivity deal with a publisher or are making some triple AAA huge budget shit
>>3902876
please go back to /g/
>>3902658
It's the standard in my industry and I can understand why, the laptops are well built, very reliable and last for years which is important on the road. Chuck in a couple of pieces of proprietary software which are widely used and excellent peripheral support and it makes sense.
>>3902624
Are you Australian?
>>3902658
because you can use photoshop and a unix shell on the same OS, which microsoft finally noticed is maybe a big deal so they're stapling the latter onto their adwaredows 10 OS
>>3902648
>any business is done on Apple
lel
>>3902429
>PC gaming is small
It's 2 percentage points away from consoles and the difference is narrowing.

Yes. I guess you got the reference, then, ay. Good to know my stupid old man jokes aren't entirely wasted.
What is this /vr/ anyways?
>>3905790
Linux support used to exist back in the day for one.
And OP is posting a screencap from GoG which is the ultimate platrform as far as PC /vr/ stuff is concerned.
Also, Linux is 1991-ish? It's definitely /vr/ material.
>>3902423
> pc game worth a shit that's not opengl or old enough you can run them flawlessly on vm anyways.
>>3902658
Standardized builds. If it works on one Apple Whateverthefuck, it will work on every Apple Whateverthefuck, no questions asked. This is obviously an advantage for businesses.
>>3905854
So why do only unemployed hipster web designers use Apple? lel
>>3903192
>the laptops are well built, very reliable and last for years
Why are you talking about Thinkpads?
>>3902423
They lazy as fuck is why.
Nearly all computer centric industries use gnu/Linux but because video games are made with Windows in mind they fuck you over on that part.
>>3902780
I love wangblows.
Windows I can take or leave
