Okay well, I got a CIB copy of the SNES Sunset Riders at a local video game store for $36.99 and I'm actually pretty sure it's real. But the eBay prices for a CIB copy seem too astronomical to be accurate, so I was just wondering what it actually is worth. Either way, the purchase was worth it because it's my favorite arcade game and I never thought I'd own it, much less with the box and manual.
>>3901940
I thought the genesis port was closer to the arcade certain.
>>3901945
I just think the box is a really, really cool display piece if I could get the mother fucking sticker off cleanly, and it was priced as if it were loose
The screws on the cart make it look legit to me. I own a copy of the game but cart only.
You're a lucky bastard to have found that at a Buybacks. Congrats, OP.
>>3901953
Yeah, it's practically brand new.
I used to work there and while employed, I ordered the Genesis version from another location and put myself in for a request of the SNES version. But low and behold, I got a call a couple days ago saying they got one in.
>>3901940
oinly one way to tell for sure, open that motherfucker and take pics of the PCB.
>>3902014
I would, but I don't have a security bit or any tool to unscrew it. But there's the back, and the sticker, Nintendo logo, and cartridge build are characteristic of authentic carts
Nice find op. I too found a similar game.

I think I paid like 13 for my Genesis version but it was loose
that's a great find man. To this day the best deal I got was a sealed Pokémon Black for 20 something dollars, while it sells for 80+ in my country.
>>3901950
>and it was priced as if it were loose
Like hell. It's more like $70 loose. You lucked the fuck out, OP.
Looks pretty real to me. Assuming it is a realistic value is $200-$250. Try to gently remove that price tag asap.
>>3902152
I was never a HUGE Pokémon fan, but while working at Buyback's one time, a guy brought in a plethora of GameBoy games of all kinds, just looking to get rid of them. He had a copy of Pokémon Yellow that I was interested in, so I offered him I think less than five dollars and the mad man actually took it
Same for Donkey Kong Land
>>3902159
Thank you for the value. BuyBack's stickers are always pretty easy to peel off from plastic, but I don't know about SNES boxes so I was gonna use a hairdryer to be extremely safe
Update:
The sticker came off extremely cleanly
I was like you all once... ignorant to the true path
>>3902210
Okay but what the fuck is that thing
>>3902212
its an actual sunset riders arcade PCB inside my Neo-Geo MVS cabinet
>>3901953
buybacks is a place that either has absurd ripoffs or phenomenal deals, it's really impressive
not retro but I found a copy of both haunting ground and rule of rose, they wanted $30 over ebay price for haunting ground and $100 under any price for rule of rose
>Been looking for a Super Famicom version of Sunset Riders
>Turns out the console ports of the games were never released in Japan
Why? Did the arcade version underperformed in Japan?
>>3902205
Good show. Deals thread? Never in a century did I think I'd find Shadow Tower for less than a hundred bucks. Last week I found a local craigslist lot of ps1 games for $60 and he had it listed with the other titles, no pictures at all. Called him up and man this copy looks great. Been playing it non-stop all weekend.
>>3902265
Fucking Christ I bought shadow tower 2 years ago on an auction for like 37 dooolaires.
>>3902265
Dang, I've never even heard of this game. Is it survival horror?
>>3901940
Your bootleg is worth what the reseller paid for it tops

Nah it's first person dungeon crawl by From Software, similar to their King's Field games. I'm doing OK so far. Lack of a compass threw me at first but I got the graph paper out and started mapping. Secret rooms aren't too tedious to find. Strafing like a pro, too, having zero problems with the controls.

My main problems with ST are the lack of music (which does play to some extremely good atmosphere at parts) and those FUCKING skeleton tree things that kill you just by being near you FUCK THEM
>>3902419
Yeah man, that draining field damage can be a real bitch. I've had background tunes on while I play. Do you know if there's any stat in particular I should focus on with the Soul Pods?
>>3902329
Are you calling my cartridge a bootleg
>>3902495
Post yours with timestamp.

My bro and I were ready to go up to Kelowna to get a 4 player cabinet.
This was the middle of winter and we opted to avoid killing ourselves on the coquihalla highway for a video game.
It's my dream cab. The board is a bandaid.
>>3902456
no, I was terrible at ST, I played it well before I played a souls game, I'm sorry.
>>3902550
Yes
>>3902187
That's a steal, it is. The beat deals are always with those people who don't understand or play vidya.
>>3902495
>Not having a generic Japanese 4P cabinet with swapable PCBs and instructions.
