nah

whats the point?
i think we've seen all the snes games by this point

my collection isn't anything impressive
i have the shit people want, like EB and CT
i have the shit people have, like 1st party shit and TMNT 4

what i don't have is a ton of junk filler or any filler at all. fuck that shit, fuck complete sets of a system. its all a fucking waste, who the fuck cares if you have all the sports games on a system? they are all shit save for maybe 10 out of 100+ sports titles!

FUCK

There are, for now, still some carts worth buying. Please qualify your statements in the future.
>>
>>3900487
Games still worth buying (or emulating) for snes, due to lack of flash cart support:

Star-fox; Yoshi's Island; Dream land 3; Kirby Super Star; SMRPG

So. This happened.

>couple of weeks back now
>wife and I decide to visit my family, been about a decade since I'd been around and she'd never formally met them in person
>fly out the three thousand miles to get there, but start feeling optimistic on the plane ride there
>had a massive collection of Atari, NES, SNES, PS1, PS2, Gameboy, Game Gear, GBA and Gamecube games (never owned a N64 myself, for no particular reason)
>over the past decade I'd slowly become a collector, replacing much of the stuff I'd left back at the house I'd grown up in
>market was fucking killing me though
>now I had the chance to reclaim it all in one go and even pick up what were now some expensive duplicates
>arrive at family home and shortly find my old room is exactly as I left it, sans all video game systems and games
>composedly ask what became of them
>"your sister wanted to borrow them"
>my thieving pothead, sells anything worth anything for money to buy more pot sister
>call up sister who only ever moved a couple of blocks away and inquire about getting the stuff back
>"t-they're buried in my closet somewhere. why do you even want them? they're really old."
>press to go over now and help her dig them out of the closet, but get the run around
>this continues for duration of visit
>toward the end, just show up and bully my way in to get anything that might possibly be left of my collection
>there's nothing
>not only was there nothing left, but the pawn tickets had expired and on going to the shops myself, the retro had long since been resold
>been back home now for about a week
>current collection looks small and pointless in the light of comparison to what was lost
>now there's a crushing demotivation of spending thousands to reclaim everything lost
>tried firing up some of my comfort games like Secret of Mana and flying around on Flammie or Crystalis and killing some tiger men
>nothing, the spark is gone
>>
>>3904378
Your story isn't the first like that. Pothead relatives are the fucking bane of game collections.
>>
>>3904378
Welp, sucks having family. So ... what's your stance on emulation and flashcarts? Sure they're not the same and will never be able to replace it from an emotional point of view but did you ever use it?

Not trying to shill emulators or something, just curious.

Well, except when you're the guy who gets teh scoops from the potheads.

Well over 75% of my current collection is from retarded stoners. I've even straight up traded weed for games at ridiculous rates like 50% value of game in weed.

I don't smoke the stuff, but I do deal on the side to friends since the money is so fucking easy.

remember having some issues with alien 3 and the save on super mario world died years back, but that's about it

Save batteries are easy enough to replace, and you got a lot of multiplayer games. Wouldnt be a problem with a night of drinking and playing through any of them with friends.

Emulators don't have that same feel to me. There's something about holding the genuine cartridge and using the genuine system that just isn't duplicated. I don't have issues with people that do use flashcarts and the like, but it's just not my thing.

Pic related is all I've managed to cobble back together so far.

>>3906028
To be fair... they are pretty ugly compared to the SFC carts.
>>
>>3905559
Of course there's 0 folders. They're sorted with tags you moron. Multiple types would be on account of RA having issues where it decompresses files in their directory and forgets to clean up after itself sometimes.
>>
>>3906028
That'll show them!
>>
>>3906070
Hey, I'll take points where I can get them. Also you can't stack SFC carts like you can the NA ones. With that and the dust slips in mind, the NA carts are clearly the superior choice.
>>

I was just clowning, you cant even see the whole room to see if it goes together or not, which doesnt really matter its just a game room.

You going to mod the PS1 and Cube to play burned games since your sister sold all your shit? Or get Flashcarts?

My SNES(Snehs, not S-NES or Super NES)
collection is rather small, also I somehow happened to lose F-Zero and Harvest Moon.
None the less it is a collection of quality, other than my N64 collection, which happens to include a lot of racing games for example, even though I don't explicitly like racers, and utter crap like Shadowgate 64 and Starshot.

Does anyone know of a list that details which games came in which cartridge type (see pic)? I know a few had both, Like SMW. In searching for carts to build a collewction, I'd prefer to get the locking type, if available for a particular titlle.

Looks similar to mine. Used to have Bart's Nightmare. I grew up with most of these as a kid.

FYI, it's not a good idea to stack your cartridges directly on top of one another, or pack them tightly together in a row. This can lead to the plastic "swelling," which is essentially stretch marks for game cartridges. You want to keep each cartridge in its own protective case, then you can pack the cases together however you want.
