Having a consolidated list of news is good for people that miss a thread on current events. Threads are not infinite lasting and get deleted daily or by mods hands.

Somebody already has one on /vr/ news, I think.
This thread isn't really for replacing new threads. It's for posting all *news* simultaneously into here, so we have consolidated news stories and when those threads die, a person that doesn't sit on /vr/ all day long, everyday, can see some news they missed.
People always bitch about this though even though it would be extremely useful.
This will be my last attempt at providing this general. If people post news, cool. If not, then just let the thread die instead of telling me my thread is retarded because you can't understand how it has uses.

Original starcraft will soon be free.

The RetroBlox Wants To Be A Virtual Console For All Of Your Old Games
>There’s no shortage of third-party retro gaming consoles promising all sorts of advantages over their proprietary predecessors, but the RetroBlox wants to be the biggest and most comprehensive of them to date.
>Unlike the RetroN or Game Freak, the RetroBlox will have an optical drive to support discs from both the PS1 and Sega CD in addition to cartridges and Turbo Chips. The console is also supposed to support online, connectivity, a modern user interface, and a “hybrid emulation” mode that will allow it to play games whose cartridges have special graphics chips embedded in them, like the original Star Fox. RetroBlox, Inc., the company behind the console, has even gone so far as to claim that it will have “full hardware compatibility with every game” in a player’s library of old games.
