QTDDTOT: H2O edition
Why is everything in retro game stores in such shit condition (cartridges, controllers, etc)? Where do online sellers find the things in good condition?
The best ones have a storefront where they buy games from people who have no sense of their value
What's the best way to get 240 test suit on my CRT
Where else can I buy games besides eBay and Craigslist?

As I understand it, when you adjust the picture quality on your television using the 240p test suite, you're setting it up to get the truest picture from the signal generator (e.g. console) to the television. Thus, each time you adjust your picture, you're really adjusting the tv for the specific console that generated the test patterns. So use whatever console you'll be using most frequently with that crt. Hope this helps.

Some relatively cheap options for games and consoles (as of a few years ago - my knowledge may be out of date) is through japanese auction sites & re-shippers. You can find good prices on auction sites & arrange w/ a re-shipper in japan to recieve your package & re-ship it to you. Look into the "retro gaming megathread"s on the somethingawful forums for more info.
