Havent seen a tread about the upcomming modular hybrid console. More info here: http://retroblox.com/
Must say it looks promising. im probably going to back it on kickstarter in april. Depending on the price.
What do you guys think of this?
I think you're shilling pretty hard for your shit clone console. Saged.
>RETROBLOX™ features new patent-pending technology called Hybrid Emulation, which allows for the direct hardware reading of specialized chips and mappers contained within historically difficult-to-emulate retro game cartridges. This means gamers get full hardware compatibility with every game in their classic games library, and unparalleled performance to boot.
>If controller lag is your enemy, Hybrid Emulation technology also allows for the highest speed possible while using classic retro game controllers connected directly to RETROBLOX™ Element Modules. In this mode you can obtain near lag-free speeds2 for controller input, allowing casual and competitive players to push their skills to new heights.
Someone has been reading our discussions or similar communities'. We'll see how (and if) it works when somebody with half a brain gets an advance prototype for review, I guess.

I doubt it as most people here wont emulate as it triggers there autism as it doesnt "feel authentic"

That's a wild exaggeration. Some minority of anons do get triggered by the mere mention of emulation but lately their seems to be more people like you who get triggered by them getting triggered.
The greentext reads like a very careful phrasing of their concept that doesn't deny its emulation underneath but goes to great lengths to paint a (dubious) picture a console thats "totally not like a retron 5, guise"

>which allows for the direct hardware reading of specialized chips and mappers contained within historically difficult-to-emulate retro game cartridges
and people fall for this buzzword-bullshit?
>>3875728
Doesn't look promising at all. Nearly every "detail" about it is meaningless mumbo jumbo. If you can't even describe what your device does in meaningful terms how on earth are you going to build something that does all that bullshit?
>>3875728
Oh hi man. Let me guess, you thought everyone would have forggotten about the coleco chameleon and you could rip off a ton of ignorant hipsters again? Too bad, even a donkey won't hit the same rock twice.
