Why is the music in this game so good?

because everything in that game is good
the sequel even has better music
it's also because of the law of ancient ruins in videogames which states:
>If a videogame has an ancient ruins level, then that level will have good music, there are no exceptions to this.
>Corollary: if a game is made up of nothing but ancient ruins, then the entire game will have good music.

That's interesting. I prefer everything in Zwei but the music.

I saw Saga going for $500 at my local cashies, worth it?
It was intended to wow audiences, so they went the extra mile and hired an orchestra to perform three tracks (Title, Flight, and Staff Roll) - easily the best three tracks in the game, as the others, with some exceptions, are just kinda there. Love the boss theme, myself.
I also think the soundtrack uses the Saturn soundchip for its instruments, which gives it a distinctive sound. IIRC, Zwei does the same thing, and while only a few tracks in that game can be called equal with 1's orchestral tracks, I like the soundtrack in Zwei as a whole much more.

It's worth playing the game at some point. It's only 20 hours long though. If you're desperate to play it then buy it, play through it, and then sell it afterwards. I did the same thing with Saga and Radiant Silvergun and I didn't regret it one bit.
