there is no satisfactory ending for this only knowing you did it.

the game is stupid retarded hard at first, but when you get past the second required rival fight for the star orb it becomes stupidly easy but requires grinding.

You can "even the odds" by using gameshark, or the rez trick for rival fights.
Kill the main character somehow
Rez him in the middle of the rival fight

I have no clue why I like this game so much. I remember reading about it in Nintendo Power and being intrigued by it, then finally renting it and...it was exactly what I thought it was, a competent platformer. But I liked it none-the-less, aside from those asshole pod-racing sections.

I ended up buying the game cheap a few years ago.
