How important are original boxes and cases for you?
For CD based games it's an absolute must. For cartridges, depending on the price hike for it being complete, it's a matter of how much I like the game.
to me theyre worth nothing if the boxes are cardboard, if the cases are plastic then hell yeah i want it just bc it looks better on a shelf

If it's Genesis then I always buy with cases because it's easy to pick them up cheaply and in decent condition. For SNES most games are sold as loose carts and if they have a box then it's normally beaten up quite badly so I never bother.
Items that come with a box are more often in better condition than loose carts, but I still throw away the box once I get it home.
It's only important to me if they're CDs.

I just ignore them because it's virtually impossible to keep that stuff in good condition, unless maybe you seal it in an air-tight protective case and never expose it to the light of day.

I don't care about boxes, but I wish I could get more of the manuals.

I can't play a game without rubbing my dick on the box, as the developers originally intended.
>people openly showcase their games
why? i know its easier to get games like this but im just noticing how shitty it looks like that.

Sort of like for disc/k games they really are nice to have for N64 and other carts that lack end labels like c64.

I'm not sure why this thread is still going, but that's a sealed copy of the limited edition (first run) version. it's pretty precious.

But... This is my cryptonite...

I never had original boxes growing up, so I don't really care.
