X-Kaliber 2097 (Sword Maniac) has a pretty neat cyberpunk aesthetic. You also fight everything from red-goggled robotic soldiers to sewer-dwelling mutants.
>Cyberpunk
SNES Shadowrun, Shin Megami Tensei II
>Vaporwave
Star Fox and the DKC games.
You'd be better off with DOS and Amiga games. They loved their cyberpunk.

Sword Maniac > X-Kaliber
Not sure why they felt the need to replace the JP OST with shitty techno music by a flavor of the moment band.

Also, the 3DO is the most vaporwavy console.

Here's your reason. They did the same thing with BioMetal, a shmup for the SNES.

Phantom 2040. Shit was literally Batman Beyond before Batman Beyond existed.

That series has some silly difficult games. But it's pretty cool. I dunno if these are on GOG or not but I wouldn't be surprised if they were.

Cyberpunk doesn't have an aesthetic. It has a setting template, not even a timeline or a way it has to look. It could be floating fucking cities that look nothing like ours. It could be huge forest cities with high tech bio-organic equipment. It's sort of like saying I want the aesthetic of a murder mystery novel. Well there isn't one, it's just a murder mystery set somewhere. Cyberpunk is just high tech low life set somewhere with a clear class struggle with differences in life quality. It could have fucking underwater Atlantis look to it and it'd still be cyberpunk.
Vaporwave is about looking like older 80-90's stuff mostly which has some overlap with Synthwave. You're probably thinking more synthwave/outrun aesthetics possibly since synthwave is decked out in neon glows of futuristic cities with synth beats. Vaporwave could be normal looking for the 90s. Synthwave doesn't cover aesthetics of standard futuristic corporate dystopias with grim dirty looks without all the neon facades typically if that's also part of what you're looking for though.
Earthbound is Vaporwave
FFVI and Chrono Trigger has Cyberpunk elements
Cybernator is literally like a Genisis game that sneaked onto the Snes

Every SNES game is vaporwave.

Or Japanese computer games.

The battle type games in Super Scope 6 have a vapor wave feel to them. Mostly because of the qt3.14 bridge bunnies.

Wow, you're overly misinformed about Cyberpunk.
Pretty vaporous.

Psycho Dream and Edo No Kiba
lovely games but the devs obviously didn't get the time or money to flesh the games out more

THANK YOU FOR POSTING THIS, I was trying to remember the name of it. I wonder if my PII 266 would be too fast for it..
