Never quite stood what's stopping me from just moving my target around and just spamming the lasers?

For arcade accuracy, the PS2 Taito Legends 2 port.

For content + mostly accurate, the Japanese PS1 port.

Working Designs ported RayStorm to the PS1, but they did something fucking retarded where they made it so that you could not actually beat the game using the arcade default difficulty - you have to play the game at a higher difficulty to see more than the first three stages. Pisses me off because the change is so pointless (the game is plenty hard). Fuck Vic.

If you can import the PS1 Japanese version is highly recommended. If not, the base game is on the PS2 for cheap.
