damn that's a rough framerate. how's the PS1 version?
I didn't notice any rough framerate.
PS1 version lacks some background layers iirc

there's some wicked framedrops in the first level.
PS1 has better framerate and more content

In what part?

when the giant fish hops out of the water is a good moment. As it's landing back in the water you can see the game just take a huge chugging. during the bossfight too with the monster from evangelion on stage 1.
I just remembered I have this for PSX in a box somewhere. Is it rare or something?

US version is expensive, $50 loose disc, 80ish complete. Don't know about the Saturn (jp only) copies, but probably not too expensive unless you're checking ebay.

Some PS1 emulators have overclocking btw. Allowing for better frame rates.

I'm playing on the Saturn which definitely does not handle 3D as well as the PS1 might. I don't use emulators, but thank you anyway.

Oh, thanks. I believe I got it for "9.00" when Hastings was burning off their Playstation section. Bought solely because it has a shiny cover.

have you played it? The thunder force games are great, kick ass music and really cool modes of controlling your shots. Makes for some really fun and frantic STG playing.

Yes, I've played this one (hence Reffi), loved the OST but I don't think I finished it.
