who cares, no one cared about arcade ports other than sega fan boys after the atari era.
>>3845334
Neogeo
>>3845334
All three had some excellent ports.
>>3845345
Yeah nobody cared about Street Fighter II on the SNES or IREM / Namco ports on PCE. It was just silly SEGA fanboys.
who cares, mame exists
lol hardwarefags

English exists too. Learn 2 past tense.
There are some Sega ports on PC Engine that I think are better then their Genesis counterparts. I really like the PCE version of OutRun.

wow, what an internet tough guy, I'm so scared, also no one ever kicked my ass, not even once, now go back to your cave neanderthal man.
>>3845379
that sounds horrible and half of what made outrun good was the music...
>>3845379
If this guy wasn't cheating, the port was shit. Good lord how many times did that guy hit cars?
>>3845396
I just watched it for 7min straight and I didn't see him hit a single car, wtf are you talking about?
>>3845403
1:04 1:07 1:16 etc etc
>>3845389
It sounds good by TurboyGrafx standards. I never liked the way the PSG sounds.

Mame was released while the snes was still alive kid

not ports
>>3845459
I bought games for snes brand new in 1997, kiddo
>>3845334
Neo Geo
Saturn
>>3845334
there are so few actual good arcade ports it's not even really worth discussing
build a supergun!
>>3845442
SNES was getting games in 1998 iirc.
>>3845498
I disagree, there are nice arcade ports on all three consoles.
>>3845334
Genesis had a larger ports library, but TG16 ports were often as arcade-accurate as they could be. Genesis ports deliberately changed things for a different home experience.
SNES only had a handful of decent ports, and was mostly a system built to continue console franchises established on the NES.

>Genesis had a larger ports library, but TG16 ports were often as arcade-accurate as they could be
I think this depends more on the games and not much on the console, both had varying quality ports.

That doesn't mean anything kiddo. 95 was the last active year for the SNES. Nobody including Nintendo fans bought SNES games in 97 unless it was from a fire sale.

I was playing FF7 at the time, when I wasn't playing Virtua Fighter or SuperMario 64. Are you Brazilian by any chance?
>>3845483
AES format is not the same as the arcade cab's. I'm casual enough to know this...
>>3845345
I didn't remember anyone talking about RPGs until FF7 hit. All the good SNES RPGs came out very late in its lifespan when everyone had moved onto the next gen.
The 16bit era was all about arcade gameplay and platfomers.
