iOS Remakes

Shin Megami Tensei is only available in English on iOS, and the Dragon Quest ports aren't awful. I beat DQ1 on my ancient iPad on a train ride and it was fun.

Yeah they really went to town. I had a good time with DQ1, it's t he only DQ I've every played actually. I understand it's a little dumbed down from the NES version, but I enjoyed it regardless; a good game to space out to while traveling, etc.

You will get a lot of flack for playing them here because of the translation but fuck them: I like it. DQ picks whimsy and charm over anything else and I think it suits it. Depending on where you're from you might struggle with the Socttish and Irish dialects because but who knows. You can definitely do worse.

Final Fantasy 1 - 7 are there too and they're a mixed bunch. 1-4 are pretty good but the art style in 5+6 is a total mystery. No comment on 7 since I don't care for it enough to play through again.

Secret of Mana is pretty good too

The only 'normie' I see here is you. Dude's not emulating on his android like a dweeb, he's talking specifically about JRPGs released on iOS; of which there are quite a few. Are they awesome? Not really, but they're not awful and can be a good way to play shit if you don't have a 3DS, etc. We were having a decent discussion regarding pros and cons of a few releases, and you come in here pretending we're on reddit.

The iOS versions of CAVE's shmup titles are superb. I mean, seriously, the control is surprisingly better than you might expect.

They have free trials for all their games, so go download and try one out. A bit pricier, but considering how much you can get out of it, a bargain to me.
