Ok heres what I remember
It was a real time strategy game on pc
Played it over 10 years ago
I remember being able to burn my enemies crops
It was a medieval setting
Also you could get giant gods or statues to go fuck up the other guys area
Any hints? I dont thinks its age of mythology

Black and White? Age of Mythology?

Rise of Nations: Rise of Legends? Not /vr/ material by the way.
Black and White is my best bet.

It's Stempunk anon, not medieval.

Can you make a giant joan of arc looking creature. If so its black and white
>>3841048
How is it not vr?

It was released in 2006, so it's past the board's cutoff of 1999. Read the sticky.

But im sure this game was released before 99

Oh sorry, I was just referring to Rise of Legends and thinking your game might have been from around that time. If you're sure that it's 1999 or before, then it's /vr/.

>my old as shit self googles rise of legends
Yeah definitely isnt that but its pretty cool
Got any idea why i cant get my old dos games to run on my new laptop?
Im a welder, not very computer literate.

DOSBox is emulation, so it mught run slower in some cases of especially demanding games (for instance my PC that runs latest Batman Arkham Knight game at 50 FPS, struggles to get higher than 15 in Chasm:The Rift ran through DOSBox)
Virtual PC or Virtual Box is virtualisation software so it runs faster, but not all features (most oftenmy sound) might be available.

But i cant wrap my mind around why my windows computer doesnt want to run quake

DOSBox, Virtual PC and Virtual Box are programs you can use to run DOS inside a Windows window, and within that DOS you can run whatever a DOS can run.
Some games have Sourceports - engines that enhance old games and make them play on newer PCs.
To run Quake get one called Quakespasm (google it). Just extract it into your quake directory and run it.
