How decent is Saturn/Dreamcast emulation nowadays?

pretty bad
i still cant play DoA 2 decently

Both NullDC and Demul play DOA2 fine, you're doing something wrong.

Just buy a used Dreamcast for $20 and burn any game you want.
I really don't understand the want for DC emulation when it's so cheap / easy to pirate.
Is there even anything on the saturn worth emulating? I mean aside from for pure curiosity. The library is pretty unmemorable as far as I can tell.

Panzer Dragoon, it also has decent Japanese library.
Ssf is ok but only works on windows and has mega input lag, Demul seems fine.
It's altogether...okay. Demul works for most games (with much configuration) and Saturn Mednafen is alright if you can get it going, though still shaky and new. it's honestly less hassle to just get the consoles though, Dreamcast reads CD-R's by default and Saturn is an easy softmod.

Saturn games are fucking expensive so yes.

Enemy Zero?
>>3840947
Is it?

That would be fine if Dreamcast lasers weren't shit. Neither of mine can read my real copy of Shenmue, even after getting it resurfaced.
Don't go ruining a perfectly good dc by making it read cd-roms. That is, if your game even fits on one.

nulldc is mostly fine for dreamcast. only some games have audio type issues but you do need to tweak it per game sometimes to fix small graphical issues.
ssf is the only saturn emulator worth using still. compatibility is high but later versions broke random games. expect to keep around old builds.

It's criminal that Enix's Ninpen Manmaru isn't on that list. That game is so colourful and charming
