What are the best weapon ratios for this game?

I like to do two homing for crowd control, two lancer for big damage. Best weapons in the game and having a backup of each means you can switch when one gets low on energy. I'm sure lancers can even fire underwater for that one boss battle.

I usually go with homing, sword, lancer, lancer - some of the bosses die really quickly to the spammable short-range weapons, and sword is usually better than fire for general use.

Oh and do 2 flame and two lancer. That's the honest best setup. Flame pierces enemy armor for those that have it, and lancer is a good boss killer. Double up so that you can always have one half of the ammo charging.

The agreed optimal selection by super players is picking 3 flames + 1 lancer, then switch one of the flames by another lancer before seven force (after that point there'll be more mechanical enemies than biological)

Is there any benefit to keeping fixed shot type in this game when the whole lock a direction and move green armor thing is gigantically superior? I keep seeing runs that stay fixed and can't see the point.
