Even tried a no junction run?
No, I value my time.

FF8 has the lamest challenges of the series. It really speaks about how shit its system is

Ever try a compelling character or story run? Wait, that's impossible for this game.

was that really worth the bump

maybe if I could use items without GFs

tfw no gf
A no GF run is impossible. No matter what you do, Squall ends up junctioning Rinoa in the end.
Yeah.
Don't level up. Spam limit breaks.
If you're playing on the original console you can just open the disc tray and take your time with Selphie's Slots.

nice "challenge" there
>>3810093
No Junction - Squall only MIGHT be a challenge
>>3810093
Why would I do something like that? Sounds boring as fuck
>>3812806
No it's just a fucking slog. The level 1 challenge from IX is a much more fun experience because outside of a very few areas where you have to get lucky it mostly comes down to how well you know your equipment and abilities
>>3810093
No, the game's already challenged.

Best challenge I've done is list out all the characters and then all the GF's and randomly assign each GF permanently to a character.
This means unless you intentionally use scrolls most characters can only junction select stats rather than everything. Furthermore your party ability is distributed rather than making your active team always have everything equipped. You end with with a very nice level of difficulty, you have to break your spine to do it but it actually feels like a normal game.
Oh I also didn't abuse card refine and made each characters magic stock separate, but I'd consider those optional clauses.

It probably wouldn't be that hard since enemies scale with you.
I don't play games more than once. Literally what's the point?

From the thumbnail it looked like somebody jizzed on the cover.
