Lba2 one of my first games. What was yours?
Wolfenstein 3D: Spear of Destiny.
Nothing like blasting nazis at the ripe age of 6 or 7
Panther bundled with the C64. Ok game overall

some atari stuff from my cousin. I don't remember anything except for a game that had a lion in it.
First "game" I actually remember was when the same cousin got a GB with one of those 55-in-1 cartridges (with the last 10 being repeats with more lives and stuff) featuring some very good games for the most part
>>3809946
Street Fighter II for the SNES, not sure if it was vanilla or one of the revisions. I only know this because there's a picture of me "playing" it (read: holding the controller while my uncle pushed buttons) as a toddler. The games I actually remember playing is stuff like Turok and Shadows of the Empire for the N64.

Either the first Pajama Sam or Tonka Construction.
Tetris.Brick Game version.
Ikari Warriors on CPC, had some awesome two player co-op sessions on my green monitor 664.
This.
I didn't like it.
>>3809946
this was one of them
I'm surprised that no one has said SMB/Duck Hunt yet

Twinsen's Odyssey was one of the first pc games I bought with my own money (birthday), if that counts for a first. There was an outlet mall by our house and I liked that giant box. Maybe I got atomic bomberman first, I can't remember... anyway I really liked this game but never got past the desert area. Such a goofy game, well I'm off to download now thanks for jogging my memory
My mom brought one day a SNES to our house, guess this day changed anything.
Great graphics for 1982 though
>>3809985
Doom and Wolf were my first as well.
>>3809946
Wolfensteinon the Mac
Descent. Was, like, three years old or something. No idea how I actually managed to beat it.
>>3809946
I'm 28. I was one of those weird kids who just had their older siblings Atari until I was able to buy a Game Boy and Pokemon with lawn-mowing money

Wolf 3D on the Mac kicks ass, the only part thing isn't vastly superior to the DOS version is that the enemies are always facing you.
>>3809946
It would have been something off this on ZX Spectrum
>>3810487
>taito compilation cassette
>no space invaders
But really, how was bubble bobble on the ZX?
>>3810489
Just had to look it up on youtube it's been so long - basic as hell but that's to be expected with the speccy. Rastan was my favourite on the collection and I don't think Renegade ever loaded properly if I remember correctly.
>>3810501
Neat, thanks. I'm American so I screwed around with a TANDY 1000 at my dad's office growing up, but never heard of the speccy until I had the Internet.

Pong is probably the only one you've heard of
pic related was my first game ever. Got it from those PC gaming magazines that came with a full game + some demos. A while later I got Diablo.
I've played computer games for as long as I can remember. But Donkey Kong and Mario Bros on the Spectrum were early favorites.

I remember playing this for the first time on a demo disk which came with windows 95. Real one a kind, absolute gem. (Demo disc also came with Caesar 3 [another excellent game], Big Red Racing, Dead Tide, and Hellbender).
It also came with a trial of cinemania 95, which had a few clips from movies on it. I think that was the first time I ever watched some of star wars. Also included 3d movie maker, which I spent tonnes of time on, wish i still had them movies, would love to watch them again.
To actually answer your question OP, heres probably the frist game I ever played. If anyone else hear as ever even heard of it, please reply. I cant be the only one whose played it. (Was installed on a computer at my school.
At home the first games I played were SMB1/duckhunt. My older brother had excellent taste, my first games on NES were smb1,2,3, jurassic park, batman: return of the joker. And on megadrive: sonic 2, goldenaxe 2, castle of illusion, jurassic park.
Then one day I came home and there it was, my new love, the playstation one. Played wipeout 3 so much with my sisters, completed spyro 2 and mgs1 without a memory card. Doom and monkey hero, crash team racing, all the resident evils, became obsessed with dino crisis (which i bought 3 different guides for), then dc2. Tekken 3 was another GOAT game.
I was also getting into PC games at around the same time. Half Life was a thing of beauty, to this day i still adore that game. Opposing force was just as good. I was getting into strategy and city building games more and more, bought caesar 3, pharaoh, dungeon keeper gold, rollercoaster tycoon, and starcraft. All 10/10 games in my book.
Looking back, i was truely blessed, i was born in 91, just at the right time to experience the golden age of gaming. Theres not a single game i mentioned which i wouldnt turn down a chance to play any day of the week. I think gamers these days dont have the same amount of diversity.
TLDR: Thankyou, Granny's Garden.
>>3811429
I have a distant recollection of Granny's Garden.
Some of my happy early PC memories are having a disk that was full of shareware. It had some of the bigger name stuff like Doom but what really stuck with me was the smaller gems like God of Thunder and King Arthur's K.O.R.T, which I never understood how to play but loved the menacing voices of the enemy knights.
>>3809946
When we got out first computer... it had a black and white screen, good old times...
C:\games\robo.exe
or maybe one of the others but this one I remember playing the most
>>3811606
>C:\games\robo.exe
>not C:\GAMES\EM\EM.EXE
I remember getting shat on by my computer teacher for not utilizing subdirectories.
I don't remember but the first game my mom bought me (everything else before was rent only) was some weird shit called pinobee it was like a platformer I guess and you had to find your grandfather, I played it atleast 20 times through and could never find the grandfather, I think it was a setup to the sequel, which never came out
>>3809946
My first game was Pitfall on the Atari. I used to play that game all day.
Ghost n Goblins arcade, black tiger arcade, smb, DKC2, wolf 3d, those are the ones that stand out the most looking back.
Robot Tank or Pitfall on the 2600
>>3810032
>Tonka Construction
Yup, played this every time our class went to the computer lab.
>>3810071
That's problematic
lba2 except i called it twinsen's oddysey
>>3809946
I think I first played Duck Hunt at someones house, can't really remember.
First game I ever actually had to myself and played to completion was Super Mario Land.
