What are the best unreleased retro games ever?

Thrill Kill is actually really fun with three friends fucked up on box wine and Zimas.
There were SO many canceled games for NES though. Secret Ties, Bio-Force Ape, Bashi Bazook are all playable and pretty great. So many cancelled games by Vic Tokai. I'd love if a playable Sir Eric The Bold surfaced but I doubt very much development at all happened with the Matchbox 12.
I'd love for Resident Evil 1.5 to come out good but at this point I have little hope.

Didn't this game basically turn into Wu Tang: Shaolin Style?

Star Fox 2, definitely. Honorable mention: ResQ.
Hardcore also looks sweet, but the ROM was never released by the creators.

I would assume Vertexer.

Yes but Thrill Kill had much better characters and the fighting system was better. I had a burned copy of it in the early 2000's and enjoyed it.
Cabbage Patch Kids Adventures in the Park for Atari 2600.

Given the small amount of playable unreleased games in general, Thrill Kill is pretty damned good for what it is.
