I have a soft spot for the NES version.

I used to play the hell out of the original arcade version when I was a kid. I don't know why but I loved it. That and pinball were the bane of the change in my mother's purse.

It's simple but satisfying. Always played Lizzie.

Same. Later, when I was doing the big arcade auctions in the mid 90s my friend came with me and bought a Rampage cab then left it outside behind his parent's house and I got to observe its decomposition process over several years.
i used to play world tour at the arcade all the time, i thought i was getting that one but the dude sent me universal tour. gameplay is exactly the same but I miss the hot bitch. oh well

My grandfather owned a service station. He had several arcade cabinets including Joust and Donkey Kong Jr. When he died and we prepared the place to sell I begged my family to let me have them. They did not. The new owner threw them through a wood chipper.

Arcade version
I love world tour and total destruction. It's too bad the Wii version had to have waggle.
Anyway, god damn is it repetitive and shallow but it's always super fun to play.

lol I promise you that no one has ever put a full sized arcade cabinet through a wood chipper. They just told you that so you'd stop asking. Possibly they didn't even belong to him rather to a local vending company.

No they got sold with the store. I helped do inventory. It would have been the early 90's so I would have been about 14.
It's not like the guy threw them in whole. They went in, cut everything up and any softish material went into the grinder. They destroyed so much good shit that they should have auctioned off including a bunch of antique bar stuffs.
I saw them doing it as I road past. The guts of the cabinets went into a dumpster and the cabinets where cut up and chipped.

lol I told you it never happened.

What is your disorder? Somehow I'm at fault for not going into full detail of how they were shredded? Did that really need explicitly stated? Of course an arcade cabinet wouldn't go whole through a chipper. I shouldn't need to fucking say it.

Someone's cloning me guess I'll need to trip up

or just, you know, don't
