Is there an adapter available for converting a coax end like this to an A/V one? My CRT doesn't have a remote and I have to leave it on the game channel or I can't get back to it, and it's a general pain to daisy-chain multiple consoles up to the TV anyway. I'd love for my NES and Genesis to just have A/V ports like the SNES, but I want to save taking apart and modding my consoles for last.
You can use any generic AV cables with the NES, look at the side of the console. Buy composite cables for the Genesis.
You are retarded for making this thread.

Yeah, you can get an RF to Composite Modulator.
Did you look at amazon? This shit has existed for fucking years.

NES2 doesn't have av if that's the model OP has. Although it's far more likely he's just a moron.

What kind of nigger TV do you have that doesn't have a remote?

Just buy a universal remote. They're like $10. I was in sort of the same situation, but that fixed it.
Dollar Tree often has a hilarious chinky universal remote

The instruction manual is three sentences

Why not just get a universal remote..?

He's not looking for an RF modulator, he's just looking for an external tuner set to channel 3 (although he doesn't know it). An RF modulator does the opposite (encodes composite video as a radio frequency signal on channel 3 or 4).
To see the signal carried on the coax on a screen without a tuner (or without using the tuner in the TV he has, because he's an idiot), he would need to run it in to some other device with a tuner inside, such as a cable box or a VHS player. A VHS player is usually the cheapest solution because you can get one at a thrift store for like $1. Set it to channel 3 and connect it to your monitor by composite or s-video. I have used this method with video monitors that can take composite signals but don't have tuners (like most PVMs etc.).

Some VCRs do it, mine splits both coax / AV in to coax / AV out
Great for strimming

But yeah, I do have a top loader NES. While I do own the big ugly VCR variety, it hasn't worked for years.

I did, actually. I just wanted to double check and make sure it'd work.

What those guys up there didn't realize was that I'm actually a retard moron for not thinking of this.

Y'know, I still have a pretty decent VHS collection, I might give that a try.

An RF modulator will NOT work because it is the opposite of what you need. It is like a "transmitter" for the radio frequency signal, and you need a "receiver."
A VCR or pretty much anything with coax in and AV out (like a tuner) will work.
>Universal remote
If you have a smartphone you may have one already. A lot of devices contain IR blasters you may not even know about. Older PDAs and palm pilots and such have them too.
Of course you also probably have a programmable remote control lying around somewhere in your house.

That's a weird brand/model

See, that's what I was looking at, and I was confused, since it looked too good to be true.
https://www.amazon.com/RCA-Compact-RF-Modulator-CRF907R/dp/B0014KKV7W/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1486939159&sr=8-2&keywords=coax+to+rca+adapter is what I was looking at.
And my TV's a newish flatscreen one, so that might actually work. Is there a recommended app for that? Pic related.
