Unfairly shat on for being "generic" and not having substantial single player content even though fighting game fags normally don't give a shit about this stuff anyways. Sadly the dev would later make a sequel specifically to address these concerns which made it ridiculously garish and include a board game style minigame that was a chore to go through

I unironically enjoy Tobal's dungeon thing and Mortal Kombat's Konquest and Chess Kombat modes. Chess was just a minigame but actual meaty singleplayer modes I want more of.

Forsaken was pretty awesome.

But I admittedly have shit taste.

I thought it was better than Twisted Metal.

I also preferred the N64 version of Vigilante 8. I don't know if that counts in this context though.

Believe it or not, whenever there's a discussion on N64 racers that aren't either sci-fi or karting, there's most likely a mention of Beetle Adventure Racing and World Driver Championship (most notably its graphics).

I bought this one because I thought it would be Gran Turismo on N64. Not quite, but still a good game. It obviously has some of the best graphics on the system.

Until /vr/ was made, I felt like I was the only person that gave a fuck about this game. I think the Episode I association pretty much did it in for most people.

Pretty good puzzle game, but there's not much of a reason to play it on N64 when the PC and Dreamcast versions exist.

Apparently this is also known as Micro Machines V3.
On N64 however, it features a muliplayer with up to 8 players, this works by two people playing on one pad simultanously.

My sister and I still play the multiplayer religiously. We're really good, which makes for some interesting rounds.

The music is great. The charm is great. It's just overall such a cool game.

I will never forget this game because the month Smash Bros. came out, Beetle Adventure Racing was actually the cover story for Nintendo Power. I was definitely interested in it, but it just kinda fell by the wayside. It's on my shortlist of games to pick up.

I loved this game as a kid. Borrowed it from a friend for months on end. I was under the impression that most people agree it was the best thing to come out of Episode 1.

The Virtual Mode is just a pretty average fighter, but the SD Mode is one of the best implementations of a build up/adventure mode in a fighter, kickass music too.
