>nighttime is literally the same screen as daytime but with less bright
Talk about being lazy.
Why people love this game so much again?
>>3791838
That's...kind of how nighttime works, Anon.
No, but seriously, blue screen filter= nighttime, it's a common media trope.
>>3791843
Not OP, but it's still lazy.
It's use in movies can be distracting, too, and often takes a good eye to hide it. The first scene that comes to mind that hid it well was a scene between Aaron Eckhart and Maggie Gyllenhaal in The Dark Knight where they stand outside of a theater.
While a dark filter over everything is correct in theory, why does the sky not look any different? Where's the stars or moon? The background is missing atmosphere.
>>3791838
because people played it exclusively for the night filter.
>>3791838
Is the game actually like this? This looks like shit...
>>3791892
It's only like this on the ps1 version. The patrician Sega CD version doesn't have this problem.
>>3791903
Nice. Isn't that one really grindy?
>>3791838
The night is suitably dark when your display has scanlines, phone user.
>>3791954
>no stars
>bright blue sky as bright as the grass
>bright snow seemingly glowing in sunlight
Back to veddit with you
>Implying a bad nighttime scene completely ruins the game.
>laughing_lemina.jpg
>>3792252
If they can't even make a proper nighttime screen, I can't even imagine how the rest of the game is.
>>3792367
congratulations on convincing yourself!
>player 2 sprite is literally the same sprite as player 1 but with less red
Talk about being lazy.
Why people love this game so much again?
>>3791838
>picture is a 4:3 image stretched to unnatural proportions
Talk about being lazy.
Why you love making game look shit?
>>3792447
Not only that, Mario and Luigi are the same colors as the turtles.
>>3792554
and neither one is about lords of lunar
>JRPGs with day/night cycles
>forced to walk around every town twice talking to every NPC 2-3 times to make sure you don't miss anything
>>3792896
>>JRPGs with day/night cycles
That's rare enough as it is. I wish it wasn't, though. Hell, BoF 1 and 2 are the only non-retro examples I can speak of.
>>3792554
You are the chosen one, the player who will unite all lunar threads in one. This will be your biggest achievement in life.
>>3792367
I'm not hating or anything, but this is kinda true...
>Nighttime actually changes all towns
Why people hate this game so much again?
>>3791838
looks like when I press the pause button in MAME lol
>>3793897
It made me stop anon.
>>3795738
lol entitled baby
>>3791843
>blue for night
It's not a "trope" you retard. It's a shitty technique for hacks.
>>3791838
>here in brazil rocks, trees, even buildings get up and move around when it's night and it doesnt get dark
lel
>>3792447
Not only that, but the clouds and bushes were the same sprite.
>>3793889
The crappy translation makes it completely unplayable unless you are using a guide.
>>3791871
literally the best post.
OP is a fucking dumbass.
>>3791908
Fuck no, Lunar 1 is one of the easiest JRPGs released. Lunar 2 is a bit harder but not really grindy.
