They're going to ship this in parts, it'll be awhile before we get to the end of "disc 1"

My guess is they're just working on one "area" for each installment. Each part is going to play a bit like FFXV's areas where each area is an "open world" with points of interest and story progression triggers so Midgar is a fully explorable self contained area.

Then it will break out into adding new areas, part 2 the first continent, part 3 the next continent and so on until they just have to add next "quests" (e.i huge materia fetch quests) for the later part of the game

it was a real oasis in the midgar slums. i wonder if they can preserve this in the remake.

i liked how the serene quality of this place both complemented and also kinda contrasted aeris' character. her cheekiness and street smarts were awesome.
