my nigga. I still play it all the time. Used to think I was pretty good at it until I watched a dude on youtube just smoke through the levels. On retrospection the game isn't hard so much as just a ridiculously steep learning curve.

The difference between "meme hardy" games and the actual hardest ones is that the latter are fucking garbage. No one cares about difficulty if the game isn't good.

If you want something in between, Adventure Island or Sky Kid is probably harder than all of those you listed.

NES port of Q-Bert has never been beaten without using pause buffering in the later stages.

NES Ikari Warriors is ridiculously hard too. makes Bayou Billy and other games mentioned ITT seem like a walk in the park.
